három gondolat a kiállítás kapcsán
építések átépítések • a kiállítást összeállítva tudatosodott bennünk, hogy a bemutatott, és megépült munkák legnagyobb része átépítés. egy elpusztított homlokzat visszaépítésétől /budai vigadó/, a meglévő épület rehabilitáló átalakításán és új épületrésszel történő bővítésén /pannónia általános iskola, józsef attila művelődési központ/ át, a gyakorlatilag teljesen újnak mondható épületig /richter uszoda, révész utcai rendelő/ terjed, de még a pályázatok egy része /városháza fórum/ is ide sorolható. véletlen? vagy a megrendelői kör a működő intézményekkel, vagy az irodánk referenciái? egy meglévő épületet először meg kellett érteni, és annak erényeit, hibáit kielemezve az új szempontoknak, igényeknek megfelelően továbbgondolni, kiemelni a lényeget, újraértelmezni azt. funkcionális és hierarchikus, egységes rendet teremtve, karakteresen megjelenítve a régit és az újat.
közös munkáink • a tervezés számunkra csapatmunka, a bemutatott tervek tehát egy közösség munkái. az építész tervezőcsapatban sokféle egyéniség van jelen, a koncepcionáló, a formáló, dizájner, a kreatív, vagy a részletekre figyelő, a műszaki alkattól a szervezőig. hasonlóan a filmszakmához, ahol talán még szerteágazóbb az alkotói gárda a rendezőn, az operatőrön, látványtervezőn át a színészekig is így kell valami egységeset létrehozni, ami ha sikerül, minden szereplő sajátjának érzi az alkotást.
kortárs művészet • épületeink jellemzően kortárs építészeti szemléletet tükröznek. a kortárs gondolkodás hasonlóan van jelen más műfajok esetében is. a festő, az iparművész a zeneszerző, a fotós a saját szakmája kortárs vonulataira rezonálva szeretne egyedit alkotni. ezen, az általában egymástól függetlenül működő szubkultúrák között korlátozott az átjárás. valaki a saját szakmájában kortárs, de a más műfaj kortárssága idegen tőle. terveinkben a képző-, iparművészet és az építészet határterületein, megismerve egymás gondolatait, eredeti és kortárs módon közös értékeket szeretnénk létrehozni.
three ideas in connection with the exhibition
constructions and reconstructions • upon selecting the works for the exhibition we realized that the majority of the exhibited and finished works are reconstructions. the continuum spans from the reconstruction of a destroyed facade /budai vigadó/, through the rehabilitative remodeling and expansion of an existing building with a new wing /pannónia elementary school, józsef attila community center/, to the practically entirely new buildings /richter pool, révész street clinic/, but even some of the competition entries /városháza forum/ fit into it as well. Is this a coincidence? or is it because of the circle of commissioners with existing institutions, or the offices’ references? an existing building has to be understood first, and, through the analysis of its virtues and flaws, its substance has to be rethought and brought out according to new aspects and needs. creating a functional and hierarchical, unified order, the old and the new can be represented with character.
our collective works • design to us is teamwork; thus the works shown are the product of the work of a community. in an architectural design team there are a lot of characters; the conceptualizer, the the designer, the formative and the creative influences, or the one with the attention to detail, from the engineer type to the organizer. this is similar to the film industry, where a perhaps even more diverse creative team, from the director through the camera man and set designer to the actors, has to work to create a unified product, which, if it is successfully completed, every participant regards as their own.
contemporary art • our buildings typically exhibit a contemporary architectural approach. this contemporary thinking is similarly present in other arts as well. the painter, the industrial artist, the composer, the photographer aims to create something unique that resonates with the contemporary themes of their profession. exchange is limited between these individually operating subcultures. someone is contemporary in their own profession, but a stranger to the contemporaneity of other art forms. In our designs, on the outskirts of fine and industrial arts and architecture, through getting to know each others’ thoughts we aim to create shared values in a unique and contemporary way.
