Dynamic and inspired. Challenging and visionary. Provocative and
groundbreaking. All these terms describe the Montreal international Festival
of new Cinema and new Media (FCMM). Recognized for its bold, eclectic
programming, the FCMM is a multidisciplinary happening that fuses mediums
and genres. In keeping with its aim of promoting cin=E9ma d'auteur,
independent video, and creativity in new media, the FCMM is constantly on
the lookout for new and original works. Innovation and exploration are the
guiding principles of the FCMM's programming, which is divided into four
main categories: feature film and video, documentary, short and
medium-length work, and digital work.
