ABOUT THE WEBCAST

As part of Tate Modern's Webcasting Programme, a live webcast of an artist
talk by CAROLEE SCHNEEMANN, and a lecture by REM KOOLHAAS will be presented
this weekend. The REM KOOLHAS lecture is programmed to coincide with Tate
Modern's first major temporary exhibition, CENTURY CITY: ART AND CULTURE IN
THE MODERN METROPOLIS
<http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/centuryc.htm>, which examines key
moments of cultural creativity in nine great cities across the world.

Presented live online using the Real Player.

ABOUT THE EVENTS

http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/programmes/live.htm

CAROLEE SCHNEEMANN - DISRUPTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS
Roland Penrose Artists' Talk, Friday 9 March

A pioneer of body art, installation and performance, will discuss resistance
and radicalisation in contemporary art. Carolee Schneemann's practice is
concerned with archaic visual traditions, with wresting pleasure from
taboos, and with the dynamic relationships between the body of the artist
and the social body.

Supported by the Elephant Trust

REM KOOLHAAS
Saturday 10 March

To coincide with the Lagos exhibition in CENTURY CITY, and in advance of his
new book on Lagos, architect and theorist, Rem Koolhaas explores the
particular dynamics of that city, its modes of dispersal and reclamation,
and describes the flexibility, intensity and efficiency with which it
functions.

In collaboration with Goldsmiths College, with support from London Arts
