hosszú utat járt be az installáció műfaj megjelenése, az 1960-as évek óta. művészeti forradalomként született, mozgalmakat, csoportokat életre hívva, hibriden magába olvasztva társművészeteket, a technológia eszközeit, majd az új média területét. addig ismeretlen fogalmak terjedtek el, body art és akciófestészet, fluxus és konceptuális művészet, miközben az építészek a superstudio és az archigram köreiben mozgó mechanizmusként, lépegető óriásként vizionálták a házakat, az avantgarde színház a játék folyamatára helyezte a hangsúlyt, a képzőművészek pedig egyre inkább a térre, és nem magára a műre koncentráltak. performance-ok, happeningek eszközeivel kifejezett anti-művészetként fejlődött az installáció műfaj. mára új állomásához ért. építészeti és belsőépítészeti program részévé vált a fogalom. installációként alakulnak ki térkoncepciók, konceptuális kertek, használja a fényépítészet és a botanika, divattervezők, grafikusok és filmesek. profitorientált vállalkozások kommunikációs alapeszközévé vált, cégidentitás kifejezőjévé az installáció, mely megjelenhet projekthez, kiállításhoz, eseményhez kapcsolódóan, hatványozott erejű arculati elemként.
a defo által rendezett kiállítás áttekintést ad az installáció műfajról, aktuális területeiről, mint kommunikációt és cégidentitást erősítő nemzetközi tendenciáról. kivételes térkoncepció fogadja a látogatókat: kísérleti laborhangulat, mennyezetről hulló cukorkák és szószok a térben, a sugar! design cukrászda és a defo első együttműködéseként.
a kiállítás megnyitásának alkalmából tematikus előadást tart a defo a helyszínen cégek képviselői és designerek bevonásával.
the installation genre has come a long way since its appearance in the 1960s. it was born as an artistic revolution, starting movements and bringing groups into life, melting the related arts, technological tools, and the field of the new media into a hybrid. previously unknown concepts became popular, such as body art and action painting, fluxus and conceptual art, while architects in the superstudio and archigram circles envisioned buildings as moving mechanisms, as walking giants, the
avant-garde theater placed the emphasis on the process of acting, and the artists focused on the space rather than the artwork itself. using the tools of performances and happenings the installation genre developed as an anti-art. today it has arrived to a new stage. the concept has become a part of the architecture and interior design program. spatial concepts, conceptual gardens have developed as installations, which are used by photography and botany, fashion designers, graphic artists and film makers. installation has become the basic tool of communication for profit oriented enterprises; it could appear in connection with a project, exhibition, or event, as an exponentially more powerful part of the company’s image.
the exhibition organized by defo gives an overview of the installation genre, its current fields, as a communication and company identity strengthening international tendency. an exceptional spatial concept greets the visitors: experimental laboratory feel, candy hanging from the ceiling and sauces everywhere as the first collaboration of the sugar! design confectionery and defo.
dedicated to the exhibition opening defo holds a thematic lecture on the spot with the contribution of companies and desginers.

2010 04 29-én a rác fürdőben tartott sikeres projektek defo esemény itt a tavasz! című installációját a defo kreatív csapatának tagjai készítették a helyszínen, a tabán környékéről származó, vágott füvek és szirmok felhasználásával • the installation titled spring is here! for the successful projects defo event held on 2010 04 29 at the rác bath was made by the defo creative team on site, using cut grasses and petals from around tabán.
