az elmúlt, nagyjából 10 év termésébol válogattam az anyagot erre a kiállításra, aminek a "felhojáték" címet adtam. egy 10 évvel ezelotti meg nem valósult kiállításnak volt ez a címe: akkori, még csak terveken létezo házaimat joggal tekinthettem "építészeti felhoknek". bár minden tervemet nagyon is földközelinek, a realitásból kinövonek tartom, az idea legalább olyan fontos volt mindig a számomra, mint földi mása. ezért azt gondolom, hogy a "felhojáték" kifejezés a megvalósult épületeimre is illik, nemcsak skicc- vagy pauszpapíron maradt társaikra. magamban folyamatosan tart a párbeszéd az anyag valósága és a formát adó koncepció között; a mindenkori moderátori szerepet a mesterség játssza.
12 inasév után a lauder iskola pályázati terve volt az önállóság elso mozzanata, 1992-ben; az alapkoletétel dátuma 1994. az expozíció jó volt, abban az évben még két nagyobb munka is megépüléssel kecsegtetett. aztán egyik sem valósult meg és 2000-ig kellett várni, hogy elso nagyobb házaim megépüljenek. elsore semmi nem ment, de a tolcsvai borászat második verziója mégiscsak megépült 4 év elteltével, a kékgolyó utcai foghíj 3. verziója 11 év múltán és a lánchíd utcai szálloda 2. változata,15 évvel követve az elsot.
a megépült házak mérlege?: 3 családiház, 2 társasház, egy vegyes funkciójú lakóház üzletekkel és irodákkal, 4 borászat /2 nagy, 2 kicsi/, egy dunaparti szálloda, továbbá felújítások és rekonstrukciók: iroda - és apartmanház, nyomda és irodaház, áruházak /3/, étterem és konyha. /és néhány épület foltjai a múlt ködébol, "állami tervezo építész" koromból/. "építészeti felho" marad több kiviteli szinten megtervezett épület, többek között a bárka színház orczy-kerti bovítése, vagy a honvéd kórház bejárati épülete /alapjaira más ház épült/; jelenleg 3 épület terve vár arra, hogy valósággá váljon: egyelore ok is még csak "felhok".
a megépült házak már a tulajdonosoké, a használóké, nekem a valóságosságukat a szekrényekben tekercsekben álló pauszok jelentik, a kiviteli tervek, a részletrajzok sokasága. a rajzokhoz a viszonyom megmaradt személyesnek, a házak elidegenedtek: azok már másoké.
a papírra, skiccpauszra való rajzolás a mesterség osi, mágikus mozzanatait idézi fel a számomra. a ceruza porzik a papíron és úgy hagy rajta nyomot, ahogy az osember festi fel a barlang falára az elejtendo bölény képét. varázslás ez, egy sosemvolt épület képének az elohívása, ami mégis valahol megvolt a kollektív tudatban; nem önmagában áll a világban, hanem egy folyamat részeként, elozményekkel és jelenvalósággal - akárcsak az alkotói. . budapest, 2009. május 14. sugár péter
the materials for this exhibit have been collected from the works of the last ten years, entitled "cloud play". this was the title of a non-realized exhibition 10 years ago, since i could rightfully consider my buildings existing at the time only on paper as "architectural clouds". although i regard all of my designs as being truly down-to-earth, emanating from reality, nevertheless the idea itself has always been at least as important to me as its material image.
therefore, i think, the phrase "cloud play" can be applied to my realized designs as well, not only to the ones that remain in blueprint on the tracing paper. there is a continuously ongoing dialogue inside me between material reality and form-giving concept, wherein the profession plays the role of the mediator.
in 1992, after twelve years of internship the first step toward independence was a design project for the lauder school architectural competition, the foundation stone ceremony was held in 1994. the introduction was sufficient, two additional bigger projects were also due to be built in that year. however, eventually neither of them were realized and I had to wait until 2000 for my first bigger design to be built. although nothing worked for the first time, still, the second version of the tolcsvai vinery was built after four years, such as the third version of the building designed for a vacant lot in kékgolyó street after eleven years, or the second version of the hotel in lánchíd street eleven years after its first design. the balance of the new buildings: 3 family houses, 2 condominiums, a mixed function apartment building with offices and stores, 4 vineries /two bigger and two smaller ones/, a hotel on the danube, furthermore there are some renovations and reconstructions: an office and apartment building, a press and office building, department stores /3/, a restaurant and kitchen. /in addition, there are some building spots looming from the past when i was a "state architect"./
several buildings with a construction plan have remained as "architectural clouds", among others the expansion of the bárka theatre from the orczy-kert, or the entrance building of the honvéd hospital /an other building has been built on the foundations/, and presently three building designs await realization, these are also only "clouds" for the time being. the buildings that have been built belong to their owners, their occupiers, to me their reality is represented by the sketch paper scrolls lined up in the cabinets, the construction plan, the multitude of the detail drawings. my relationship to the drawings is still personal, while the buildings themselves became alienated, they already belong to someone else.
the act of drawing on paper or sketch paper evokes the primal, magical elements of the profession. the pencil forms clouds of dust on the paper and leaves its trace just as the primeval man painted the image of the bison to be killed on the walls of the cave. this is magic, the evocation of a never existing building which still exists somewhere in the collective consciousness, it doesn't stand by itself in the world but as part of a continuity - with precedents and presence - just like its creators. . budapest, may 14, 2009 péter sugár
