Danube SoundMaps / Transformations – Vapors – Melanosis

Presentation of the outcomes of Visegrad Artist Residency – Visual and
Sound Arts program and public artist talk.

*I draw on the sound map of the city. Silently, along quiet places.
Quickly, over the loud and shrill. I divide sound drawings into those that
are intertwined threads and those that are indicated by traces. The threads
are not linear; I hear them in roots, rhizomes, urban mycelium.*

Soundmaps are longterm project developed in several European cities with
various outputs and approaches. I had made several long walks through the
whole Budapest along the Danube and I was listening its sounds under and
above the water. I had found various objects and soundscapes which were
later used in the exhibition in Ostrava: *Sounding, resonating and
vibrating* /Michal Kindernay/

Michal Kindernay will also present his other recent works including short
version of the new film Transformations / Vapors / Melanosis commissioned
for a festival: Film, Architecture and Urbanism in Prague.
