Stacion- Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë prezenton ekpsozitën do it të
kuruar nga Hans Ulrich Obrist. Do it (bëje) do të qëndrojë e hapur në
Stacion - Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë nga 15 nëntori deri me 14
dhjetor 2013, dhe shënuar herën e parë që do it është realizuar në Kosovë,
si dhe bashkëpunimin e parë të Stacion- Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor
Prishtinë me Hans Ulrich Obrist.



Duke u nisur nga një lexim specifik i projektit dhe udhëzimeve nga
publikimi i vitit 2013 ‘do it: the compendium’, Stacion ka prodhuar një
interpretim të do it që është edhe specifik për kontekstin por dhe me qasje
globale.



Do it në Stacion ka të bëjë me vënjen në funkcion të mundësive për
transportin masiv të informative dhe shpërndarjën e përmbajtjës e cila nuk
do të duhej të arrijë te ju sot. Stacion synon të krijojë hapësirë të re të
pa matshme për mendim dhe të nise një veprim që mundëson ndryshimin e
pozitës të marrësit përfundimtar të informatës dhe artit.



Nga fillimi në 1993, do it është rritur prej 12 udhëzimeve të artistëve, të
cilat ishin rezultat i një bisede mes Hans Ulrich Obrist dhe artistëve
Christian Boltanski dhe Bertrans Lavier për një projekt të vazhdueshëm që
përfshin 400 artist ndërkombëtar, duke bërë këtë ekspozitën më të gjatë dhe
më ndikim që ka ndodh ndonjëherë. Do it është realizuar në shumë vende të
botës përfshirë Kinën, Hungarinë, Mbretërinë e Bashkuar, Meksikën,
Gjermaninë, SHBA, Estoninë, Costa Rica, Slloveninë, Uruguay tash edhe në
Kosovë.

Për Hans Ulrich Obrist

Hans Ulrich Obrist (b.1962, Cyrih, Zvicër) jeton dhe punon në Londër, ku ai
bashkë drejton ekspozitat dhe programet e projekteve ndërkombëtare në
Galerinë Serpentine. Paraprakisht, ai kuroi Muzeun e Progresit, Vienna, nga
1993 deri me 2000 dhe ka qenë kurator në Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de
Paris prej 2000. Obrist ka kuruar më shumë se 200 ekspozita solo dhe
grupore, bienale ndërkombëtare nga 1991, përfshirë Soup (1991), Hotel
Carlton Palace (1993), do it (1994), Take Me, I’m Yours (1995), Manifesta 1
(1996), Live/Life (1996), Cities on the Move (1997), Nuit Blanche (1998),
1st Berlin Biennial (1998), Laboratorium (1999), Utopia Station (2003),
Dakar Biennale (2004), 2nd Guangzhou Triennial (2005), 1st & 2nd Moscoë
Biennale (2005 and 2007), Bienale Lyon (2007), dhe Yokohama Triennial
(2008). Me 2007, Hans Ulrich ka bashkë kuruar Il Tempo del Postino me
Philippe Parreno për Festivalin Ndërkombëtar Manchester, gjithashtu
prezantoi në Basel (2009, të organizuar nga Fondation Beyelet Art Basel dhe
Theater Basel. Në të njejtin vit, ai u shpërblya nga Instituti Van Alen më
çmimin Senior Fellowship për 2007–08. Në 2008 ai kuroi Everstill në
Shtëpinë Lorca në Granada. Obrist është duke kontribuar si redaktor në
revistën Abitare, Artforum, dhe revisten Paradis.

Stacion - Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë është institucion i pavarun
për art bashkëkohor dhe arkitekturë. I themeluar në vitin 2006, Stacion sot
është hapësirë për artistët, mendimtarët, kritikët dhe punonjësit
sociopolitik, të përkushtuar në reflektimin dhe reagimin ndaj sfidave
relevante të shoqërisë bashkëkohore, me qasje aktive, kritike dhe
emancipuese. Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë funksionon si
një platformë e hapur, që fut në veprim strategjitë për ta promovuar
dialogun me publikun; punon me qëllime të qarta sociale dhe politike;
inkurajon praktikat artistike dhe kërkimet e avancuara n’arkitekturë;
përkrah pavarësinë intelektuale si dhe punon drejt krijimit të kushteve në
të cilat mendimi dhe praktikat bashkëkohore do të mund të ndodhin.

Stacion është i përkushtuar për rikrijimin e momentit të nevojshëm për
përparimin dhe mancipimin e skenës bashkëkohore dhe mjedisit kuturor në
Kosovë.

Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë ka në fokus të punës së vet
praktikat errënjosura në proceset lokale, rajonale, evropiane dhe
ndërkombëtare.



Për do it

Do it është ekspozitë që udhëton e konceptuar dhe kuruar nga Hans Ulrich
Obrist, dhe e organizaur nga Independent Curators International (ICI), New
York. Ekspozita dhe publikimi shoqërues janë bërë të mundshëm, pjesërisht
nga grantet prej Fondacionit Elizabeth Firestone Graham, Fondacionit Robert
Sterling Clark, dhe me mbështetjën bujare nga Project Perpetual dhe ICI’s
International Forum dhe Board of Trustees.



Do it në Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë është pjesë e
projektit ‘Rimendimi i programit t'hapësirës (shoqnore)’ dhe mbwshtetet nga

Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina will present DO IT curated
by Hans Ulrich Obrist from November 15 through December 14, 2013 marking
the first time that do it has been realized in Kosovo.



Drawing from a specific reading of the project and instructions from the
2013 publication, DO IT: the compendium, Stacion will produce an
interpretation of do it that is both site-specific and global in scope.



DO IT at Stacion is about utilizing means for mass transport of information
and disseminating content that was not supposed to reach you today. Stacion
aims to create new uncalculated spaces for thinking and initiate an action
that opens the possibility to additionally alter the position of the end
receiver of the information or art.



Since its beginning in 1993, DO IT has grown from twelve artist
instructions that were the result of a conversation between Hans Ulrich
Obrist and artists Christian Boltanski and Bertrand Lavier to an ongoing
project including over 400 international artists, making it the longest
running and most far-reaching exhibition to ever occur. DO IT has been
realized throughout the world in countries including China, Hungary, the
United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, the United States, Estonia, Costa Rica,
Slovenia, Uruguay and now Kosovo.

About Hans Ulrich Obrist

Hans Ulrich Obrist (b. 1968, Zurich, Switzerland) lives and works in
London, where he is co-director of exhibitions and programs and director of
international projects at the Serpentine Gallery. Before that, he was
curator of Museum in Progress, Vienna, from 1993 to 2000 and has been a
curator at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris since 2000. Obrist
has curated and co-curated more than 200 solo and group exhibitions and
biennials internationally since 1991, including World Soup (1991), Hotel
Carlton Palace (1993), do it (1994), Take Me, I’m Yours (1995), Manifesta 1
(1996), Live/Life (1996), Cities on the Move (1997), Nuit Blanche (1998),
1st Berlin Biennial (1998), Laboratorium (1999), Utopia Station (2003),
Dakar Biennale (2004), 2nd Guangzhou Triennial (2005), 1st & 2nd Moscow
Biennale (2005 and 2007), Lyon Biennale (2007), and Yokohama Triennial
(2008). In 2007, Hans Ulrich co-curated Il Tempo del Postinowith Philippe
Parreno for the Manchester International Festival, also presented in Basel
(2009), organized by Fondation Beyeler Art Basel and Theater Basel. In the
same year, the Van Alen Institute awarded him the New York Prize Senior
Fellowship for 2007–08. In 2008 he curated Everstill at the Lorca House in
Granada. Obrist is contributing editor of Abitare Magazine, Artforum, and
Paradis Magazine.



About Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina

Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is the only independent
project institution for contemporary art and architecture in Kosovo,
established in 2006 by artist Albert Heta and architect Vala Osmani.

Obrist, and organized by Independent Curators International (ICI), New
York. The exhibition and the accompanying publication were made possible,
