International Open Call: Director of research
institute Artyãok.TV [international research,
media and digital archive of contemporary art].
The Chancellor of the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU)
announces international open call for the
position of the director of the research
institute Artyãok.TV [international research,
media and digital archive of contemporary art]
according to Articles about selection procedures
for academic positions' in the Academy of Fine
Arts in Prague (further selection procedures')
are elected on the basis of the selection process
(§ 77 articl. no. 111/ 1998 Sb., about higher
education institutions and changes in other
announcements (higher education policy), (further
policy').
The director of the research institute Artyãok.TV
[international research, media and digital
archive of contemporary art] is responsible for
all aspects of realisation of the international
project Artyãok.TV:
<http://artycok.tv/>http://artycok.tv. He/she is
also responsible for collaboration with the civic
association Artyãok.TV, o.s., ArtyãokTvSk, o.z.,
ARTychoke, Ltd. a Format Foundation, Ltd.
Required Qualifications:
Educated to Master degree or equivalent
Highly Developed Organisational and Communication Skills
Ability to lead and develop team, independent thinking
Proven track of experience with fundraising from international organisations
Ability of conceptual and theoretical
understanding of art production and processes
Language Skills
Personal Integrity
How to apply / required documents and information:

- higher education awards certificates
- clearly structured CV with an overview of up-to-date work experience
- selection of publications with an emphasis to last five years
- documentation of project management
- portfolio, written articles.etc
- cover letter (max. 1600 characters)
- a short term (2 years) and medium term (5
years) vision of activities of the international
project Artyãok.TV (max.3200 characters)
- this should be submitted in an electronic form on the DVD or a CD
Submitted proposals will be published on the
project Artyãok.TV website of the AVU.
Hours: Part-time at 0.5.
Salary: according to the internal wage awards schedule of the AVU.
Start: to be negotiated in the second stage of
the selection process (expected 1/10/2011), the
lenght of the contract will be discussed then,
too.

The schedule of the selection process:
01/07/2011 open call for director of the research
institute Artyãok.TV [international research,
media and digital archive of contemporary art]
15/08/2011 a closing date for 1st round of the selection process
25/08/2011 a meeting of the selection committee,
applicants will be informed about the results of
the 1st stage via email and succesful candidates
will be invited to the second stage
15/09/2011 the second stage of international open
call in Prague, AVU, personal interviews and
public presentation (Article 4. Point 2.-
Selection Processes Procedures according to the
Article about Selection Procedures AVU)
16/09/2011 decisions will be announced
01/10/2011 expected starting date
