A PH-Budapestet a három szervezet karöltve hozta létre, hogy évente 4
külföldi fotóművészt vendégül láthasson Budapesten. A program 2009 őszén
vette kezdetét. A PH- Budapest első két vendége Marina Gadonneix és Shigeru
Takato.

Shigeru Takato: TV Stúdiók, 2001-2009

"...A TV stúdió egy olyan hely, ahol rengeteg energia gyűlik össze. Heves
viták és beszélgetések, hír és propaganda a stúdiókban elektromágneses
energiává alakul át, majd elhagyja a stúdiót, hogy örökre szélesebb
közönséget keressen az űrben.



A "TV stúdiók" a világ számos városában TV stúdiókról készített fotók
sorozata. A stúdiók pont úgy vannak berendezve, és fényelve, ahogy az híradó
adásban szükséges, csak a szereplők hiányoznak. A fényképek kiiktatják
mindazt, amit a képernyőn megszoktunk, hangokat, emberi jelenlétet és a
tv-kamerák mozgását. Ugyanakkor olyan részleteket tárnak fel, amikre másképp
nem lehetünk figyelmesek, mint a lámpák, vezetékek és ragasztószalagos
jelölésék a stúdió padlóján. Más szóval, a fényképek a médiát megfosztják
tartalmától és dekonstruálják a legfőbb funkcióját....."

PH-Budapest was founded hand-in-hand by the three organisations to host 4
international photographers in Budapest every year. The program was launched
in the autumn of 2009. PH- Budapest's first two artists in residence are
Marina Gadonneix and Shigeru Takato.

Shigeru Takato: Television Studios, 2001-2009

"...A television studio is a place where an enormous amount of energy is
concentrated. The human energy of heated discussion and debate, breaking
news, and propaganda are transformed and transmitted in and out of the
studio in the form of electro-magnetic energy, which will eventually travel
into space forever, as it tries to reach a wider audience.



" Television Studios" is photographic series of television studios in
different cities around the world. The studio sets in the photographs are
set up exactly as they are for broadcasting including the lighting but
without people. The photographs eliminate our expected familiarities from
the television screen such as sound, human presence, and movements of
TV-cameras. At the same time, the photographs expose un-familiarities such
as lighting equipment, electric cables and taped markings on the floor in
the studios. In other words, they empty the content and deconstruct the
basic function of the media...."
