A huszonegyedik szazad kuszoben mar nem beszelhetunk „az” alternativarol 
– amit sokaknak a szocializmus jelentett a huszadik szazadban –, hanem 
helyette egy sor kiserleti kezdemenyezesrol, kiigazitasrol, 
ellen-strategiarol es modellrol. Az „Alternativ gazdasagok, alternativ 
tarsadalmak” projekt, s igy ez a konyv is, amely most eloszor jelenik 
meg magyarul, az egyertelmu iranyultsag ellehetetlenuleset eselykent 
fogja fel. Egybegyujti alternativ gazdasagi- es tarsadalomszervezesi 
modellek kidolgozott leirasat, nehany olyan elvet, amelyek a tarsadalom 
fejlodese szempontjabol kiemelt fontossaggal birhatnak, valamint konkret 
tortenelmi tapasztalatok kulonbozo olvasatait. A projektben minden 
elmeletet kulon interju kepvisel, melyek tarsadalomtudosokkal, gazdasagi 
szakemberekkel es torteneszekkel keszultek.

At the beginning of the 21st century you cannot talk anymore about the 
alternative – which socialism was for many people in the 20th century – 
but about a whole bundle of measurements initiatives, adjustments, 
counter-strategies and models. The project “Alternative Economics, 
Alternative Societies” and therefore this book understand the break away 
of clear orientation as a chance: It assembles elaborated descriptions 
of organizing models for alternative societies and economies, certain 
principles, which are of importance for the development of a society, 
and descriptions of concrete historical experiences. It presents 
concepts that do not prescribe and predetermine each detail of the 
society, but leave free space to the people to introduce their own 
perceptions. An interview was carried out for each concept in the 
framework of the project with social theorists, economists and 
historians. From these interviews 16 videos in various language versions 
were produced. The edited transcriptions and translations of these 
videos form the nucleus of this current publication, which for the first 
time assembles texts in German and Hungarian language.
