Az UtopiaTransfer c. kiállítás művészei mutatják be munkáikat
(Kiscelli Múzeum, 2008. március 5 – április 6.

Résztvevők: Bik van der Pol, Krijn de Koning, Société Réaliste, valamint a
kiállítás kurátora, Bencsik Barnabás

Az „utópia" kifejezés ideális társadalmat jelent, de vajon olyan ideálról
van szó, amely egyelőre még nem valósult meg, vagy olyanról, amely azért nem
valósult meg, mert lehetetlen hogy működőképes közösségi modell legyen? Az
UtopiaTransfer című csoportos kiállítás az utópia témáját feldolgozó
különféle művészi állásfoglalásokat mutat be.

Bik Van der Pol A művészet vagy plágium vagy forradalom című neon-munkája
arra kérdez rá, hogy a forradalomnak létrejöhetnek-e olyan új formái, melyek
valódi társadalmi változások katalizátorai lehetnek.

Krijn de Koning gigantikus léptékű térbeavatkozásairól és helyspecifikus
munkáiról beszél, melyek az ember és környezete viszonyát kutatják.

A Société Réaliste a Transitioners projekt 2008-as, Le Producteur című
kollekcióját mutatja be, mely központi kérdésköre a liberalizmus és a
szocializmus progresszív különválásához kötődik.

Participants of the lecture: Bik van der Pol, Krijn de Koning, Société
Réaliste, and Barnabás Bencsik, curator of the exhibition

The term 'utopia' comes from Thomas More's famous work and means ideal
society. But does it mean an ideal society that does not yet exist or a
society that never existed because it was never realisable? UtopiaTransfer
is a group show intended to represent different artistic approaches to the
notion of 'utopia'.

Bik Van der Pol's work Art is either plagiarism or revolution not only
emphasizes the possible role of art but also asks if there is a new type of
revolution in the gaps of society that is able to become a catalyst for real
social change?

Krijn de Koning will speak about his interventions in existing spaces and
huge site-specific sculptures.

Société Réaliste presents Transitioners' 2008 collection. The central
question is related to the progressive separation of liberalism and
socialism.
