Dieter Roelstraete (sz. 1972) filózófiát tanult a Genti Egyetemen. Jelenleg az antwerpeni Kortárs Művészeti Múzeum (MuHKA) kurátora. Ottani munkái közé tartozik az “Emotion Pictures”, valamint az “INTERTIDAL”, a vancouveri kortárs művészetet feltérképező kiállítás. Nemrégiben az “ACADEMY: Learning from Art” (2006) és 2005-ös Velencei Biennálé belga pavilonjában rendezett Honoré d'O: “The Quest" társkurátora volt. A múzeum kiadványának, a vizuális kultúra elméletével foglalkozó AS folyóiratnak a főszerkesztője, illetve az A Prior Magazine társszerkesztője. Számos publikációja jelent meg a kortárs művészet és az ehhez kapcsolódó filozófiai kérdések témakörében. Ezek közé tartoznak monográfiái Lois Weinberger, Harald Thys & Jos De Gruyter, Joe Scanlan, Steven Shearer, Honoré d'O, Mark Manders, Gabriel Kuri, Iannis Kounellis, Wim Delvoye és Roy Arden művészetéről.

Dieter Roelstraete (born 1972) was trained as a philosopher at the University of Ghent and currently works as a curator at the Antwerp museum of contemporary art MuHKA. His curatorial projects there include Emotion Pictures and INTERTIDAL, a survey show of contemporary art from Vancouver also at MuHKA; more recently, he also co-curated ACADEMY: Learning from Art (2006) and Honoré d’O: “The Quest” in the Belgian pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2005). He is editor-in-chief of the museum’s quarterly journal for theorizing visual culture AS, and a contributing editor to A Prior Magazine. He has written extensively on contemporary art and related philosophical issues; his publications include monographic essays on the work of Lois Weinberger, Harald Thys & Jos De Gruyter, Joe Scanlan, Steven Shearer, Honoré d’O, Mark Manders, Gabriel Kuri, Iannis Kounellis, Wim Delvoye, and Roy Arden.
