Ján Bakoš (1943), 

výtvarný historik a teoretik umenia. Publikácie k dejinám stredovekého i
moderného slovenského maliarstva, o Viedenskej škole dejín umenia, o
umeleckých avantgardách, filozofii pamiatky, postavení intelektuála v
Európe. Pôsobí na Ústave dejín umenia SAV v Bratislave.

art historian and theoretician. Publications on history of medieval and
modern Slovak fine art, on Vienna School of art history, on avant-gardes,
philosophy of relic, the position of an intellectual in Europe. He works at
the Institute of the History of Fine Arts SAS in Bratislava.

Timothy Beasley-Murray (1972), 

slavista, literárny vedec. Publikácie k témam: kultúrne teórie 20. storočia,
filozofická moderna, český štrukturalizmus, slovenská literárna postmoderna.
Pôsobí na University College of London, School of Slavonic and East European
Studies.

literary scholar. Publications on: cultural theories of the 20th century,
philosophical modernism, Czech structuralism, Slovak literary postmodernism.
He teaches at the University College of London, School of Slavonic and East
European Studies.

Adam Bžoch (1966), 

literárny vedec, prekladateľ. Publikácie o W. Benjaminovi, avantgardách a k
dejinám psychoanalýzy na Slovensku. Preklady W. Benjamina. Pôsobí na Ústave
svetovej literatúry SAV v Bratislave a na Katedre germanistiky Katolíckej
univerzity v Ružomberku.

literary scholar, translator. Publications on Walter Benjamin, avant-gardes
and history of psychoanalysis in Slovakia. Translations of Walter Benjamin.
Research fellow at the Institute of World Literature SAS in Bratislava and
teaches at the Department of German Studies of the Catholic University in
Ružomberok. 

Josef Fulka (1976), 

filozof, estetik, prekladateľ. Venuje sa súčasnej literárnej vede a
francúzskej filozofii. O. i. publikácie o D. Diderotovi a myslení 20.
storočia, M. Foucaultovi a literatúre, preklady z francúzskej filozofie.
Pôsobí na Ústave filozofie a religionistiky Karlovej univerzity v Prahe.

philosopher, aesthetician, translator. His research interest is contemporary
literary scholarship and French philosophy. Publications on Diderot and 20th
century thinking, Foucault and literature, translations of French
philosophy. He teaches at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
at Charles University in Prague.

Ivan Gerát (1964),

historik umenia. Autor monografie o stredovekých obrazových témach na
Slovensku. Zaoberá sa stredovekou ikonografiou a metodológiou dejín umenia,
vizuálnymi reprezentáciami národných mytológií v strednej Európe. Je
riaditeľom Ústavu dejín umenia SAV v Bratislave, prednáša dejiny umenia na
Trnavskej univerzite.

art historian. The author of a monograph on medieval visual themes in
Slovakia. He concentrates on medieval iconography and methodology of history
of fine arts, visual representations of national mythologies in Central
(Eastern) Europe. He is the head of the Institute of Art History of SAS in
Bratislava and a lecturer on art history at the Trnava University.

Jana Geržová (1951), 

výtvarná kritička a kurátorka. Zaoberá sa umením 2. polovice 20. storočia,
predovšetkým výskumom analytických a konceptuálnych tendencií, problematikou
apropriácie a postmodernej identity v umení. V polovici 1990-tych rokov
kurátorka série výstav Umenie aury v synagóge v Trnave. Šéfredaktorka
časopisu Profil súčasného výtvarného umenia.

visual art critic and curator. The subject of her research is art of the 2nd
half of the 20th century, especially analytical and conceptual tendencies,
the dilemma of appropriation and postmodern identity in art. In the middle
of 1990s she was curator of a series of exhibitions The Art of Aura in the
synagogue in Trnava. She works as editor in chief of Profil - a magazine of
contemporary visual art.

Péter György (1954),

teoretik médií, historik umenia. Zaoberá sa súčasným výtvarným umením a
kultúrnym kontextom nových médií. O. i. publikácie o stalinizme a umení, o
súčasnom maďarskom výtvarnom umení a o nových médiách. Pôsobí na Inštitúte
teoretických a mediálnych štúdií na Univerzite Eötvösa Loránda v Budapešti a
na Budapeštianskej technologickej univerzite.

media theoretician, art historian. His research interest is contemporary
fine arts and the cultural context of new media. He published books on
Stalinism and art, on contemporary Hungarian design and new media. He is a
reader at the Institute for Art Theory and Media Studies of the Eötvös
Loránd University in Budapest and at the Budapest University of Technology.

Jochen Hörisch (1951), 

germanista, literárny vedec a teoretik médií. Publikácie k súčasnej nemeckej
literatúre, k dejinám literatúry a médií; o. i, štúdie o filozofii peňazí,
ku kritike hermeneutiky. Pôsobí na Katedre novšej nemeckej literatúry na
univerzite v Mannheime.

Germanist, literary scholar and media theoretician. He published books on
contemporary German literature, history of literature and media, studies on
the philosophy of money, critique of hermeneutics at the Department of Newer
German Literature at the University of Mannheim.

Miroslav Marcelli (1947), 

filozof, estetik. Zaoberá sa dejinami filozofie, súčasnou francúzskou
filozofiou a semiotiku urbánneho priestoru. Šéfredaktor slovenského
filozofického časopisu Anthropos. Monografie o M. Foucaultovi, R.
Barthesovi, preložil diela M. Foucaulta, J. Piageta, G. Deleuza. Pôsobí na
Katedre dejín filozofie Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave.

philosopher, aesthetician. The subject of his interest is history of
philosophy, contemporary French philosophy, and semiotics of the urban
space. He is editor in chief of the Slovak philosophical journal Anthropos.
Monographs on Foucault and Barthes; translations from French philosophy. He
is professor at the Department of the History of Philosophy at the Comenius
University in Bratislava.

Miroslav Petříček jr. (1951), 

filozof, estetik. Zaoberá sa dejinami súčasnej filozofie, filozofiou a
kultúrou postmoderny, vizualitou a textualitou vo vzťahu k filozofii.
Početné preklady z nemeckej a francúzskej filozofie. Pôsobí na Filozofickom
ústave Akadémie vied ČR a na Ústave pre filozofiu a religionistiku na
Univerzite Karlovej v Prahe.

philosopher, aesthetician. His research interest is history of contemporary
philosophy, philosophy and culture of postmodernism, visuality and
textuality in relation to philosophy. Numerous translations form German and
French philosophy. He is fellow at the Institute of Philosophy of the ASCR
and at the Institute of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Charles
University in Prague.

Gérard Raulet (1949), 

germanista, kultúrny historik. Zameriava sa najmä na nemeckú kultúru 19. a
20. storočia. Publikácie o nemeckom historizme, mladom K. Marxovi, M.
Schelerovi a medzivojnovej filozofickej antropológii, W. Benjaminovi a jeho
teórií technických médií. Pôsobí na Sorbonne (Katedra nemeckých dejín ideí),
resp. na Maison des Sciences de l´Homme v Paríži.

Germanist, historian of culture. He concentrates chiefly on German culture
of the 19th and 20th centuries. He published books on German historicism,
young Marx, M. Scheler and interwar philosophical anthropology, Walter
Benjamin and his theories of technical media. He works at Sorbonne
(Department of the German History of Ideas) and at the Maison des Sciences
de l´Homme in Paris. 

François Soulages, 

estetik a filozof umenia. Zaoberá sa o. i. dejinami a estetikou fotografie,
teóriou obrazu a súčasným výtvarným umením. Publikácie k estetike obraznosti
a fotografie, Pôsobí na Université Paris VIII a na Instutit National
d´Historie de l´Art (INHA) v Paríži.

aesthetician and art philosopher. He is interested in history and aesthetics
of photography, theory of image and contemporary design. F. Soulages
published books on aesthetics of image and photography. He works at the
University of Paris 8, and at the National Institute of Art History (INHA)
in Paris.  

Peter Zajac (1946),

slavista a germanista. Publikácie k českej, slovenskej, nemeckej i ruskej
literatúre 20. storočia, k estetike 20. storočia, zostavovateľ viacerých
antológií slovenskej literatúry v zahraničí, prekladateľ nemeckej lyriky i
drámy. Pôsobí na Inštitúte slavistiky Humboldtovej univerzity v Berlíne a na
Ústave slovenskej literatúry SAV.

literary historian. Publications on Czech, Slovak, German and Russian
literature of the 20th century, aesthetics of the 20th century, editor of
several anthologies of Slovak literature abroad, translator of German poetry
and drama. He works at the Institute for Slavonic Studies at the Humboldt
University in Berlin and at the Institute of Slovak Literature SAS.

Siegfried Zielinski (1951),

teoretik médií a technokultúry. Zaoberá sa dejinami, teóriou a praxou
audiovizuálnosti a archeológiou médií. Početné publikácie o audiovizuálnych
médiách, sám autor viacerých filmových a výstavných projektov, resp.
videoprojektov. V súčasnosti pôsobí na Kunsthochschule für Medien v Kolíne
nad Rýnom, ktorú založil roku 1994.

is media and technoculture theoretician. His research interest is history,
theory and practice of audiovisual studies and media archaeology. Numerous
publications on audiovisual media, author of several film and exhibition
projects, and video projects, too. Today he works at the Academy of Media
Arts in Cologne, which he founded in 1994.
