In collaboration with Numusic C6 present Nuart to be staged during the
Festival of Numusic in Stavanger, Norway between the 6th - 10th September
2006.

C6 plan to make this year's festival a blur of pervasive assaults, curating
artists and practitioners who invade territories found between conventional
media. These will be staged in and around the venues of Numusic.

There are a number of calls for participation associated with the events in
September. For full details visit http://c6.org/nuart

NuArt will consist of presentations, events, workshops and exhibition
elements occurring between multiple venues in the town of Stavanger during
the 4 day period of the NuMusic festival. Various systems will create a
playground of dynamic exchange for the public and attending artists. eg.
sms, bluetooth, radio and web as well as street and gallery based work. The
resulting documentation and data gathered during the event will result in a
static show after the festival has ended.

These exhibits will take place in multiple arenas and through several media
throughout the venues. Commissioned works will map and interpret public
interactions via installations and exhibits. Works will create dynamics
between different content delivery spanning the web, street, gallery, mobile
phones and portable devices. The festival will become areas of many layered
media driven interactions. NuArt plans to pervade a wider locality, engaging
local communities as well as the conventional gallery-going public to
collaborate in producing Nuart works.

areas of interest include.
Public-space installations/interventions, street graphics, graffiti, urban
games, mobile-tech, locative media projects, interactive mapping, pervasive
