Beziehen Sie Stellung! Utopie kann scheitern, der Versuch
ist wichtig.

In Auseinandersetzung mit Macht und Ressourcen gestaltet das
Forum Stadtpark das Festival GOLD – Armut war gestern.
Ausgehend von der Position der Reichen rufen wir auf, sich mit
diesen Themen zu  beschäftigen.  Wenn wir von Reichtum reden,
schließen wir uns nicht aus, Österreich ist eines der reichsten
Länder der Welt. Wir rufen auf, aus der Position der Mächtigen
heraus zu denken und zu agieren.

Die Macht ist in unseren Händen!
Wir wollen die Macht, die wir haben, nützen und in unseren
Visionen zum Ausdruck bringen. Wir wollen die Macht nützen,
sei es durch den Entwurf utopischer Weltbilder, sei es durch die
Formulierung von Kritik und Analyse an der Verteilung von Macht
in unserer Welt. Es geht um die Macht, die wir haben, gerne
hätten, der wir unterworfen sind und die wir gerne ausüben
würden.

Die Ressourcen sind in unseren Händen!
Wir wollen die uns zur Verfügung stehenden Ressourcen nützen
und den globalen wie regionalen Umgang mit Ressourcen zur
Ressource unseres Festivals machen. Es geht um Arbeit,
Reichtum, ökologische wie ökonomische Schätze. Wie gehen
wir mit ihnen um? Wie sehr entziehen sie sich uns?

GOLD – Armut war gestern ist ein Low-Budget-Festival.

Take a stand! Utopias may fail but it is important to try.

Dealing with power and resources, the Forum Stadtpark
conceived the Festival GOLD – poverty was yesterday.
Starting from the position of the rich we call on you to deal with
these issues. When we speak of wealth, we do not rule out the
fact that Austria is one of the wealthiest countries of the world.
We call up to think and to act from the position of the powerful.

The power is in our hands!
We want to make use of the power we have and express it in our
visions. We want to make use of the power, whether by conceiving
utopian visions of the world or by formulating criticism or analysis
as to the distribution of power in our world. It is about the power we
have or would like to have as well as the power we are subjected
to and which we would like to exert ourselves.

The resources are in our hands!
We want to make use of the resources that are available for us and
turn the global as well as the regional ways of dealing with
resources into the resource of our festival which is about work,
wealth and both ecological and economical treasures. How do
we deal with them? To which extent do they elude us?

GOLD – poverty was yesterday is a low-budget festival.
