We invite you to participate in "MACHINISTA 2003" media art festival in net, organized and coordinated in Perm City, West Ural, Russia. Main subject of the festival is "Artificial Intelligence in Art: Faces of Machinic Ingenuity". The focus is on the new interaction of machinic and human in art and culture.
International jury: Hauska Tietokone (Helsinki, Finland), Alexei Andreyev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Vadim Epstein (Moscow, Russia).

Seeking a Curator
Skills required are formal knowledge of contemporary art (university level or equivalent). Practical experience of exhibition and project management. Networking and collaboration capacity. Proficiency in English.
You have an international profile, both personally and professionally, the skills and desire to explore and develop established exhibition concepts and you enjoy working in a team. You are used to following a project from the initial idea, which may not be your own, through the research phase to the practical level, including external fundraising, communication and completion.
Your tasks include producing exhibitions and projects, both independently and in collaboration with cultural institutions in the Nordic countries. Creating networks and contacts in and outside the Nordic countries that promote knowledge of and interest in Nordic artists and their work. Providing advice and information about Nordic contemporary art to external partners, the media and invited curators. Organizing conferences, seminars and public meetings to provide background information and new perspectives on contemporary visual culture in and outside the Nordic countries.

NIFCA offers a challenging work environment and unique opportunities to develop concepts, networks and knowledge. The position is part-time (60% - working periods negotiable). Tenure is limited to two years. Monthly salary EUR 2.187 + 25% pension and social costs. Accomodation and travel subsidy negotiable.

Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts Artist- in- Residency Program
Two-to six-month residencies open to U.S. and international visual
artists. Bemis provides 1,000 - 2,000 sq. ft. private studio/living
space, a 10,000 sq. ft. fabrication/installation facility equipped for
steel and wood working, access to printmaking/photography facilities,
individual monthly stipends of $500 - #1,000, and exhibition

Call for Entries
The second annual international "ArtBots: The Robot Talent Show" will
take place at EYEBEAM Gallery in New York City in mid-July, 2003.
Creators of talented robots are invited to submit their work for
possible inclusion in the show.
