<b>Text - Body - Bodytext<br>
</b>The materiality and physical presence of the text itself has has
long been neglected in an understanding of writing as a mere
representation of spoken language. Taking the enforced lack of
physical interaction during the Covid-19 crisis as a starting point,
this seminar will look at the text as a body and the body as a text,
as well as the performative relations between both. A fresh look at
the thinking of<i> Butler</i> and<i> Foucault ('the body
inscribed')</i> and in particular<i> Roland Barthes'</i> famous
quote<i> ("The pleasure of the text is that moment when my body
pursues its own ideas-for my body does not have the same ideas as I
do.")</i> will deliver some of the theoretical
background.</font></div>
