Dear Friends,

You are all welcome to this unique occasion: The multi-generational, international team of the Underground Slam Academy is bringing to Gödör (Király street 50.) many of its slams performed @Sziget this year. Performances about setting ourselves free, becoming self-identical, and will celebrate the cathartic restart of freedom in Hungary, since the elections in April, when people overwhelmingly voted for restoring limits on anyone’s power. The slammers talk from their own point of view about this non-violent constitutional revolution, which gives worldwide hope that as equally free individuals we can create and sustain self-governing communities, and everyone can contribute to this with her stories. Slam is free speech, and anyone can be a slammer.

In the signature style of the Underground Slam Academy all slammers will perform by heart, with David Pető’s & Mihály Pikler’s short live music improvization between the slams. This special, two hours long team slam (a free show) will be framed by Olgae’s songs with acoustic guitar. Director: Peter Molnar, European slam champion, editor of the Underground Slam Academy.
