> NEXA 2026 is a nomadic contemporary art platform and international festival exploring air as an ecological, spatial, and experiential condition.
> The first edition of the festival will take place in Yerevan in 2026 and will focus on the city’s air as a condition shaped by pollution, environment, and perception. Within the framework of the festival, particular attention will be given to:
> -the impact of air quality on human health and experience
> -the relationship between body, space, and environment
> -invisible ecological processes
> Air is approached as a connecting medium between humans, nature, and the material world.
> Artists are invited to submit project and artwork proposals for participation. Contemporary art works across different media are welcome, including:
> -media art
> -installation
> -sound art
> -bio art
> -textile and material practices
> -visual arts
> Projects should respond to air as a material, condition, or invisible presence.
