*TRANSFORM Symposium* /"The Art of Transformation"/

27. - 29.10.2021, University of Applied Arts, Vienna.

 From *October 27 - 29*, experts from the fields of art and science, 
research and teaching are invited to reflect on the future of education 
and career prospects for students.

Questioning and exploring pedagogical formats, inter- and 
transdisciplinary bridging methods and new technological tools for the 
future of academic teaching and research are the topics of the symposium.

In addition to the Rector of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, 
*Gerald Bast,* the Professor of Experimental Game Cultures, *Margarete 
Jahrmann*, the Head of International Programs in Sustainable 
Developments, *Katharina Gsöllpointner* and the Professor of Language 
Arts, *Monika Rinck*, the Vice Rector for Innovation and Researchers* of 
the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), *Christopher Lindinger,* 
Professor at the Institute of Experimental Physics, *Martin 
Kaltenbrunner* (JKU), Professor at the Institute of Sociology, *Uli 
Meyer* (JKU), the Head of the Department of Continuing Education 
Research and Educational Technologies at Danube University Krems, 
*Stefan Oppl,* as well as the Head of the Department of Materials 
Chemistry at the University of Vienna, *Alexander Bismarck*, and many 
other teachers and researchers from the three collaborating 
institutions. Impulses, reflections and critique will be provided by, 
among others, *Katharina Rogenhofer*, initiator of the climate 
protection referendum, *Jan Boelen*, artistic director of the 
experimental materials research center Atelier LUMA in Arles, France and 
*Christian Pohl* the former co-director of td-net of the Swiss Academies 
of Arts and Sciences and TdLab of the Department of Environmental 
Systems Science at ETH Zurich.

The symposium will take place on site (Auditorium & Flux II) at the 
/University of Applied Arts Vienna/ and can also be attended online via 
stream.
