A berlini művészeti egyetem (UdK) Idő alapú média intézetének 
professzora, média-archeológia variantológia fókusszal, az European 
Graduate School, Saas Fee Michael Foucault professzora (techno-kultúra 
és média archeológia), a berlini UdK nemzetközi Vilém Flusser Archívum 
igazgatója, a karlsruhei művészeti egyezem (HfG) rektora. Választott 
tagja a berlini Művészeti Akadémiának és a düsseldorfi 
Észak-rajna-vesztfáliai Művészeti és Tudományos Akadémiának.

Siegfried Zielinski az elmúlt húsz évben számos alkalommal járt 
Magyarországon, kapcsolata a magyarországi művészeti élettel igen 
intenzív. Előadásokat tartott, konferenciákon vett részt, 2000-ben, még 
a Kunsthochschule für Neue Medien alapító rektoraként az MKE öt 
hallgatója számára szervezett kiállítást a kölni intézményben, az MKE 
Doktori Iskolájában több előadása volt, legutóbb 2013 áprilisában 
tartott workshopot intézményünkben. Magyar nyelven 2009-ben könyve 
jelent meg /Audióvíziók/. A mozi és a televízió mint a történelem 
közjátékai címmel, melyet több intézmény, így az MKE Intermédia Tanszéke 
is tananyagként használ.

The award ceremony starts at 18.00 Friday, the 12th of May, 2017 in 
Budapest, Andrássy street 69, the main building of the Hungarian 
University of Fine Arts.

Holder of the Chair of Media Theory (focus: Archaeology and Variantology 
of the Media) at the Institute for Time-Based media, Berlin University 
of the Arts; Michel Foucault Professor for Techno-Culture and Media 
Archaeology at the European Graduate School, Saas Fee, Switzerland; 
director of the International Vilém Flusser Archive at the Berlin 
University of the Arts. Rector of the University of Arts and Design 
(Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe), Elected member of the Academy of 
Arts, Berlin, and the North Rhine-Westphalia Academy of Sciences, 
Humanities, and the Arts in Düsseldorf.

During the last two decades Siegfried Zielinski has visited Hungary 
several times, his connections with the contemporary Hungarian Art is 
vivid and intensive. During these visits he gave lectures, took part in 
conferences, etc. As founding Rector of the Kunsthochschule für Neue 
Medien he organized a student exchange and exhibitions with HUFA 
Intermedia Dept., his last lecture & workshop at the HUFA Doctoral 
School happened at 2013. His seminal book, */Audiovisionen/* was 
published in Hungarian in 2009. Some of his Budapest lectures are also
