As just discussed, please find attached the press release relating to the
photo competition, which has a deadline of 30 June 2017. More information
is here:



Do you know someone whose photography deserves a Europe-wide stage and
who’s ready to take on a big topic? We’re helping to promote a European
competition to find the best photos on ‘My Europe, my rights’.



It’s open to all amateur and professional photographers aged 18 and over
living in the EU. Four prizes are on offer, including cultural trips to
Brussels and up to EUR 2 000 of photographic equipment.



The competition has been organised by the Group of the Party of European
Socialists (PES) in the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), which
represents local and regional authorities across the EU. It’s sure to
inspire some fascinating photos. What are fundamental rights – and why do
they matter? Are some under threat or in conflict with others?



Three of the winning photographs will be chosen by a jury composed of
professionals from the world of photography and members of the PES Group.
The fourth will be chosen via an online vote in September 2017. All four
will be announced in late 2017 at a special award ceremony in Brussels.
