Reformed churches declare capitalist ideology 'idolatry and a sin'

Accra (ENI). A world gathering of Reformed churches has denounced the
current world economic order as an ideology it says is imposed by "global
neo-liberal capitalism" which excludes the poor and the vulnerable from the
fullness of life. Before the 24th general council of the World Alliance of
Reformed Churches ended on 13 August in the Ghanaian capital it passed a
declaration which "rejects the current world economic order".
