Mindenki vegyen el? egy lapot! | csoportos ki?ll?t?s A ki?ll?t?s c?me a r?pdolgozatokat megel?z? rettegett mondat, egy mindenki ?ltal j?l ismert iskolai ?lm?nyhez k?thet? fr?zis, amely az ismeretanyag ?r?sbeli sz?monk?r?s?nek eml?k?t id?zi fel. A sz?veg a tud?s lek?pez?s?nek egy eszk?ze, transzform?ci?ja. Ennek az ismeretek iskolai ?tad?s?ra szolg?l? speci?lis verzi?ja a tank?nyv, ami hi?nyos, torz?tott ?s keretezett. A nagy mennyis?g?, k?zpontilag meghat?rozott tananyag sok esetben korl?tozza a tan?rok pedag?giai m?dszertani lehet?s?geit is,, ?s nem t?mogatja a di?kokat a kritikai gondolkod?s elsaj?t?t?s?ban sem. A ki?ll?t?son bemutatott m?vek els?sorban a k?zpontilag meghat?rozott tananyag ?tad?s?ra ?s sz?monk?r?s?nek m?dj?ra reflekt?lnak. Mindezek mellett egy olyan ? alternat?v?t k?n?l? ? modell is szerepel, amely a projektalap?, k?z?s munk?ban rejl? kreat?v lehet?s?geken alapul, ?s ahol a tanul?knak mik?zben az ?ket ?rint? t?m?kkal foglalkoznak, lehet?s?g?k van az ?n?ll? gondolkod?sra ?s a szabad v?lem?nynyilv?n?t?sra. Ki?ll?t? m?v?szeink szem?lyes ?lm?nyeikb?l kiindulva a hazai oktat?si rendszer hi?nyoss?gait t?gabb kontextusba helyezik, ?j n?z?pontb?l vizsg?lj?k ?s fogalmaznak meg ak?r ironikus vagy humoros hangv?tel? kritikus v?lem?nyt a k?z-, vagy ?ppen a fels?oktat?ssal kapcsolatban. We all know the feeling when the teacher orders the class to have their papers and pencils ready, having to start the lesson with writing an unanticipated test. This metaphor evokes many deep-rooted negative associations with the educational system and its underlying power relations. Text is a tool for visualising knowledge. Textbooks are incomplete, warped and framed. These indicatives also characterise not only the educational system, but our exposition as well. The focus of our exhibition is the critique of the national educational system. The main issue with it is that its methods are not effective and obsolete: such as the reckoning of subjects by text and the present system of evaluation. The situation of students and teachers are getting more and more difficult due to the regulation passed recently regarding public education. Conditions for education are becoming more stringent, while expectations are getting higher at the same time. The large amount of centrally stated curriculum limits teachers' methods and deprives students of the opportunity to learn critical thinking. Works presented at the exposition remark upon the shortcomings of the centrally defined curriculum, its presentation and the method of its reckoning, and the fact that students are often overwhelmed by expectations. Besides this, some works presented are demonstrative of alternative educational instruments, such as e.g. project-based teamwork. Our exhibiting artists (Zsolt ASZTALOS, Vikt?ria BALOGH, Demolab, Vir?g L?DI, Bence P?LINK?S and Orsolya BARNA, Zsombor P?LYA, Zs?fia SZEMZ? and M?rton Emil T?TH) were inspired by their own experiences within public or higher education. They have approached the theme critically, sometimes with irony or humor. They put the shortcomings of the educational system in a broader context and examine it from a whole new viewpoint, sometimes even going as far as commemorating this educational phenomenon. exhibiting artists: Zsolt ASZTALOS, Vikt?ria BALOGH, Orsolya BARNA & Bence P?LINK?S, DEMOLAB, Vir?g L?DI, Zsombor P?LYA, Zs?fia SZEMZ?, M?rton Emil T?TH. The Rijksakademie's artist community has a unique ecology, which is highly international, multi-disciplinary, experimental and critically engaged. Artists are supported with a studio, a stipend, by a wide range of artistic and technical advisors, including artists, curators and thinkers, and have access to well-equipped workshops, a library and discursive engagement. We have a commitment to diversity, to working with a global perspective and with sensitivity to the local. As an artist, you are ready to make the most of these resources. You are open to challenging yourself, to working alongside positions that are vastly different from one another, and to engaging with wider social and discursive programmes. We are also interested in practices that maximise the social and transformative power of art. Selected artists usually have finished a BA/MA education and if so, must have at least 2 years of independent professional practice before starting a residency at the Rijksakademie. Every year, about 22 places become available. We are seeking residents for the period January-December 2021, with the possibility of staying one year more. You can apply by completing the online application form on the website between January 1-February 1, 2020. In early October, ARTE published the film "Moldova. "The ugliest building in the world", in which Tatiana was the main protagonist of the film. The film is an integral part of the French project on abandoned buildings built in the socialist era, and was dedicated to the celebration 30 years of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Tatiana does not agree with the name of the film and the angle it was given. The film is more reminiscent of anti-communist horror than a thoughtful research film. In a collage created by the artist, she places herself kissing an imaginary 'West' on the backdrop of the Berlin wall alongside the famous work of the Russian artist Dmitri Vrubel "My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love". The artist asks why is this Western love so humiliating and insulting? Will Eastern Europe be associated with communism and always see it as a potential threat? With legal repression, they think they can silence protests against coal mining. There is a fundraising campaign running to cover the cost of the court case and attorneys, so please feel free to share and donate: https://www.darujme.cz/projekt/1201737?locale=en This is my statement that has been published in Czech translation on social media as part of the defense campaign: * **In times of climate breakdown, when the Amazonas is on fire and Venice under water, when the Arctic ice is melting and ecosystems collapsing, the ongoing extraction from the Earth of coal and gas must be seen for what it is: a crime against humanity. The blockading of coal mines and other fossil infrastructure is therefore an entirely legitimate form of self-defense: an attempt to protect humanity, ecosystems and all forms of life on planet from even greater damage. ** **Whatever particular reasons led people to join the blockade, they are sure to have been good reasons. Speaking personally, my reason is that as an artist and film-maker I have followed the climate justice movement for the last couple of years, documenting the ever-evolving forms of mass civil disobedience and amplifying the voices of climate activists in films and other artworks. To be among such committed people is constantly inspiring. I hope my work can help at least in some small way to share these shining moments of climate action with people who are not yet part of it. ** **My involvement in the blockade of the B?lina coal mine in 2018 resulted in the film "Everything's coming together while everything's falling apart: Limity jsme my" (4K, 10 min., 2019), which is the fifth film in a cycle of films on climate action. ** **It can be watched in exhibitions, biennials and screenings, or through following this link: https://vimeo.com/293150164 (password: Northern Bohemia)** ** **Oliver Ressler* http://www.ressler.at/everythings_coming_together/ https://vimeo.com/oliverressler https://www.instagram.com/oliver.ressler
