Hogyan lépnek be napjainkban az intimitás, a férfiasság és az
inter-maszkulin magánélet fogalmai a közbeszéd terepére az európai
menekültügyi válság kapcsán?
Ez a beszélgetés Európa és az ő jelentős másik fele között zajló “külföldi
affér” rövid története: egy meghívás annak az elgondolására és
újragondolására, hogy mennyire van összhangban az úgynevezett integrációs
folyamatba résztvevő két fél és egy elbűvölőbb élet – mindenki számára és
bárkinek, aki részese – elképzelésére való kapacitásunk között. És ez nem
titok: az elvándorlás egy kiszámítható, akár politikailag korrekt, akár
inkorrekt pozícióból, számításba véve a kapcsolódó ügyeket is, lehetőséget
biztosít arra, hogy gyakoroljuk a szavak és képek hatalmát (vagy azok
hiányát) az emberiség létének egészére vonatkozóan - életek és halálok,
bűnök és erények valamint az önnön krízise a másik előtt. Készen álltok?

Koncepció: Marko Stamenković (1977) dél-szerb művészettörténész, kritikus
és kurátor, jelenleg az Artist-in-Residence of Q21/MQ Wien program
résztvevője a BMEIA meghívottjaként.

How do notions of intimacy, masculinity and inter-masculine privacy enter
the public preserve of 'European refugee crisis' nowadays?

This talk is a short tale about a 'foreign affair' between Europe and its
significant other: an invite to think and rethink to which extent both
sides involved in the so-called integration process comply with our
capacity to imagine a 'life more glamorous' for everyone and, also, anyone
being part of it. And it's no secret: to migrate from an expectable, either
politically correct or incorrect position with regard to this and related
issues, presents but another opportunity to exercise the power of words and
images (or its lack thereof) around mankind at large - their lives and
deaths, their vices and virtues, and the crisis of the self in front of the
other. Are you ready?

Marko Stamenković (1977) is art historian, critic and curator from the
south of Serbia and Artist-in-Residence of Q21/MQ Wien invited by BMEIA in
April 2016
