A tranzit.hu "A szivunk egy masik orszag" cimu nemzetkozi csoportos
kiallitasa a baratsagban kibontakozo, meghitt jatekteret mutatja be, ahol a
tarsadalom elvarasaitol, idealkepeitol es normaitol elrugaszkodva igazan
onmagunk lehetunk.

A kiallitas szerepváltasok es csinytevesek titokzatos univerzumaba enged
bepillantast, amely kivul esik a mindenkori politikai kontroll, a
torvenyek, az egyhaz és a kulturalis mintakat tovabborokito csalad normativ
hataskoren is. Egyuttal ramutat e valtozatos es szemelyreszabott emberi
kotelek felszabadito erejere egy olyan kulturaban, ahol erkolcsi szabalyok,
intezmenyesitett szertartasok es a hazassag torvenyi keretei hatarozzak meg
a szeretet es az intimitas megelesenek lehetséges modjait. Mindemellett egy
olyan, onmagaert valo es tiszta kapcsolatforma tarsadalomkritikai
lehetosegeit vizsgalja, amelynek resztvevoi egyenranguak, es egymast
segitik az onmegvalositasban.

A kiallitas felteszi a kerdest, lehet-e a baratsag eletforma, egy
identitaskategoriak es nemi szerepek feletti queer politika alapja. Ezaltal
pedig ramutat arra, hogy a baratsagra tekinthtunk ugy is, mint az
egyenlotlen eroviszonyokat megszilardito heteronormativ tarsadalmi
berendezkedes alternativaja.

A kiallitas a tranzit. hu "Valasztott csalad" cimu hosszabb távu kutatasi
projektjenek reszekent valosul meg.

tranzit.hu’s international group exhibition "Our Heart Is a Foreign
Country" presents the intimate field of play that unfolds in friendships; a
place where can depart from the expectations, ideals and norms of society,
and can really be ourselves.

The exhibition gives a peek into the mysterious universe of role shifts and
mischief that lies beyond the normative spheres of political control, the
law, the church, and the family that responsible for passing on cultural
patterns. At the same time, it points to the liberating power of this
versatile and personalized mode of human connection in a culture where
modes of experiencing love and intimacy are determined by moral codes,
institutionalized rituals and the legal framework of marriage. The
exhibition also investigates the potential for social critique that lies
within friendship as a form of connection that is pure and exists for
itself, and in which participants are equal and aid each other in the
process of self-realization.

"Our Heart Is a Foreign Country" asks the question of whether friendship
can be a way of life and the basis for a queer politics beyond identity
categories and gender roles. Through this, friendship emerges as an
alternative to the heteronormative social structures that enforce unequal
power relations.

The exhibition is realized as part of tranzit.hu’s long-term research
project "Chosen Family".
