KIOSK AIR: Hajnalka TULISZ [HU] in residency
April 14 - May 10, 2015
From the 14th of April to the 10th of May 2015, Hajnalka Tulisz will
take part in KIOSK artist in residency program in Chisinau, where she
will inhabit the <http://chiosc.oberliht.com/apartament/>Flat
Space with the aim to build a nest as a flat-paraphrase and invite
the passers-by to intervene in her private sphere. With this she will
also put herself on the test to let in and share with them the intime
and vulnerable place which she created with living on an open flat
situated on the street.
During these days we invite you to attend the following program:
April 15, 2015, 6 pm
Zpace (str. Al. Sciusev 103, Chisinau)
- artist talk by Hajnalka TULISZ
My graduation work was based on reactions to my actual surroundings,
namely to my fellow students. I gave an thought provoking critique,
that does "not lead anywhere", sooner or later it will "run out" and
it could not be known what I am really like. I have no answers, I
just would like to initiate a discussion about it. What does
"independency" and "autonomy" mean in the case of the artist? How
timeless the "reactive" art? Keeping distance from myself or from the
"world".

Flat Space (str. Bucuresti 68/1, Chisinau)
- The Nest, public presentation of the final results of the artist in
residency programme
Hajnalka TULISZ is a young visual artist from Hungary. She studied at
the Intermedia Department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.
In her works as well as in her thinking in general she approaches the
reality with pretended independence in an ironic way. She likes to
use the language only as a starting point and transforms it into an
artwork. Her undergraduate thesis titled Critique of Pure Heart was
dealing with the importance of lazyness, the useless and 'usefulness'
of art.

KIOSK AIR program
KIOSK artist in residency program encourages creation of new work in
relation to the local context and reality. It offers the opportunity
to explore various issues that relate to Moldova's situation in
general and to analyze the processes that shape Chisinau's public
space today.
