Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë ka kënaqësinë të j’u ftojë
në prezentimin e Renaud Proch, drejtor ekzekutiv i Independent Curators
International (ICI), New York.

Independent Curators International (ICI) lidhë kuratorët, artistët dhe
institucionet në mënyrë që të krijoi rrjete ndërkombëtare dhe të gjenerojë
forma të reja të bashkëpunimit. E themeluar me 1975 dhe me seli në New
York, ICI siguron ekspozita, ngjarje, bursa të hulumtimit, publikime dhe
trajnime kuratoriale, të cilat aktivizohën nga ky rrjet, në partneritet me
hapësira dhe organizata të artit rreth botës.

Me 2013, 10 ekspozita të ICI janë prezantuar në 37 vende të 19 shteteve të
botës dhe 13 shtete të SHBA-së. 66 kuratorë dhe artist kanë kontribuar në
bisedat e ICI, programet publike dhe inciativa të hulumtimeve; dhe 94
kuratorë nga 33 vende dhe 8 shtete të SHBA-së kanë marrë pjesë në
Curatorial Intensive, program profesional trajnimi.

Renaud Proch në Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë ICI do të
diskutoj për rolin e ICI në nxitjën e rrjeteve dinamike dhe platformave të
mbështetjës së praktikës kuratoriale dhe artit bashkëkohor ndërkombëtar.

Renaud Proch është Drejtori Ekzekutiv i Independent Curators International
(ICI). Prej dhjetorit 2009 deri me prill 2013, ai ka qenë Zëvendës Drejtor
i ICI. Përpara kësaj ai ka qenë drejtor i lartë në Project në New York, ku
ai punoi në zhvillimin e karrierës të një liste prej 21 artistëve, si dhe
Drejtori i MC në Los Angeles, një galeri e dedikuar për prodhimin dhe
prezantimin e projekteve të reja solo të artistëve të njohur ndërkombëtar.
Me origjinë nga Zvicëra, Proch ka studiuar në Londër, dhe u zhvendos në
Bregun Perëndimor të SHBA-së me 2001.
Në vitin 2003 ai bashkëthemeloi 'ART2012' në Los Angeles, një organizatë jo
profitabile e cila ka përfshirë ekspozita të vendosura-në-galeri, panel
diskutimesh dhe screening, e cila funksionoi si mbështejtje strukturore për
projekte të realizuara on- and off-site dhe si vend për reflektime kritike
të artistëve, kuratorëve dhe kritikëvë.
Së bashku me Kate Fowle dhe Magali Arrioula, Proch ka bashkë-themeluar 'the
backroom', një arkivë në rritje dhe udhëtuese, projekt që bazohët në
hulumtim, i prezantuar në pesë qytete të SHBA-së, Meksikës dhe Francës, e
cila sjell qasje për materialet burimore të më shumë se 60 artistëve
ndërkombëtar. Së fundmi, ai ka bashkë-kuruar një retrospektivë të artistës
së Afrikës Jugore Tracey Rose për Galerinë e artit të Johannesburg, Afrika
e Jugut, dhe Umea Bildmuseet, Suedi.

Prezantimi i Renaud Proch në Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë
organizohet në lidhje me ekspozitën DO IT në Stacion - Qendra për Art
Bashkëkohor Prishtinë (15.11.2013 - 14.12.2013). DO IT është ekspozitë që
udhëton e konceptuar dhe kuruar nga Hans Ulrich Obrist, dhe e organizaur
nga Independent Curators International (ICI), New York. Ekspozita dhe
publikimi shoqërues janë bërë të mundshëm, pjesërisht nga grantet prej
Fondacionit Elizabeth Firestone Graham, Fondacionit Robert Sterling Clark,
dhe me mbështetjën bujare nga Project Perpetual dhe ICI’s International
Forum dhe Board of Trustees.

DO IT në Stacion – Qendra për Art Bashkëkohor Prishtinë është pjesë e
projektit ‘Rimendimi i programit t'hapësirës (shoqnore)’ dhe mbështetet nga
Ministria e Integrimit Europian e Republikës së Kosovës, Ministria e Punëve
të Jashtme e Republikës së Kosovës, Ministria e Kulturës, Rinisë dhe
Sportit e Republikës së Kosovës, Koha Group, Independent Curators

Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is pleased to invite you
for the presentation by Renauld Proch, Executive Director of Independent
Curators International (ICI), New York.

Independent Curators International (ICI) connects curators, artists, and
institutions to forge international networks and generate new forms of
collaboration. Established in 1975 and headquartered in New York, ICI
provides exhibitions, events, research fellowships, publications, and
curatorial training that are activated through its network, in partnership
with art spaces and organizations across the world.

In 2013, 10 ICI exhibitions have been presented by 37 venues in 19
countries and 13 U.S. states. 66 curators and artists have contributed to
ICI’s talks, public programs, and research initiatives; and 94 curators
from over 33 countries and 8 U.S. states have participated in the
Curatorial Intensive, ICI’s short-course professional training program.

Renaud Proch at Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina will
discuss ICI's role in fostering dynamic networks and strong platforms for
the support of curatorial practice and contemporary art internationally.

Renaud Proch is Independent Curators International (ICI)’s Executive
Director, and from December 2009 to April 2013, he served as ICI’s Deputy
Director. Prior to this he was the Senior Director at the Project in New
York, where he worked on developing the careers of a roster of 21 artists,
as well as the Director of MC, in Los Angeles, a gallery dedicated to the
production and presentation of new solo projects by internationally
established artists. Originally from Switzerland, Proch studied in London,
and moved to the West Coast of the U.S. in 2001. He co-founded ART2102 of
Los Angeles in 2003, a non-profit organization that incorporated
gallery-based exhibitions, panel discussions and screenings, and functioned
as both a structural support for projects realized on- and off-site and as
a place for critical reflection for artists, curators and critics. Together
with Kate Fowle and Magali Arriola, Proch co-founded the backroom, a
growing archive and itinerant research-oriented project presented in five
cities in the U.S., Mexico and France, which provides access to over 60
international artists’ source materials. Most recently, he co-curated a
retrospective of South African artist Tracey Rose for the Johannesburg Art
Gallery, South Africa, and the Umea Bildmuseet, Sweden.

The presentation Renaud Proch at Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art
Prishtina is organized in connection with the exhibition DO IT at Stacion –
Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina (15.11.2013 -14.12.2013). DO IT is a
traveling exhibition conceived and curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, and
organized by Independent Curators International (ICI), New York. The
exhibition and the accompanying publication were made possible, in part by
grants from the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation, the Robert Sterling
Clark Foundation, and with the generous support from Project Perpetual and
ICI’s International Forum and Board of Trustees.

DO IT at Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is part of
‘Rethinking (Social) Space Program’ supported by Ministry of European
