A Labor Vendégtér bemutatja Luminita Apostu WHEN LEARNING AGREEMENT című
projektjét

A Labor Vendégtér 2012 keretében, LUMINITA  APOSTU román művész és kurátor
mutatja be kutatási projektjét, amelynek címe WHEN LEARNING AGREEMENT.
Luminita Apostu kurátori gyakorlata mindig is kötődött az oktatás ügyéhez,
témája a művészeti iskolák helyzete és teljesítőképessége diákjaik képzésében.

A projekt a tanteremre koncentrál, arra a térre, amelyben az oktatás kurátori
gyakorlat szerint történik. A kutatás arra kérdez rá, hogy az aktuális
művészeti párbeszéd, amely az oktatást választja témájául tud-e valamit
nyújtani a diákoknak, illetve hogy a nem-nyugati művészeti képzés leírható-e
ugyanazzal a terminológiával, mint a nyugati.

A prezentációt egy dokumentációs kiállítás kíséri a kurátor korábbi munkáiból,
amelyet a recens romániai művészeti oktatás szemléjeként rendez újra. Ez az
oktatás ma termékeny környezete a kritikai művészetnek.

A WHEN LEARNING AGREEMENT parodisztikus megközelítése a művészeti oktatás
szisztematikus és szerződéses elemének, ahol a személy és intézmény közötti
csere értéke nyilvánvalóan alkuvá válik.

Labor’s Guest Space Residency presents: WHEN LEARNING AGREEMENT by Luminita Apostu

In the frame of LABOR GUEST SPACE Residency 2012, Romanian artist-curator
LUMINITA APOSTU presents her research project WHEN LEARNING AGREEMENT.

Expressing an ongoing interest in the status and potentiality of art schools
in the formation of their students, Luminița Apostu’s practice has been
constantly connected to issues of education. Focusing on the classroom as the
place where education is being exerted curatorially, the project attempts to
investigate whether recent discursivity built around education in art is
actually doing any good to the student and whether the non-Western art
education can be coped with under the same terms.

The presentation will be accompanied by a documentary exhibition of her
previous work, reframed by the context of revisiting current Romanian art
education as a flourishing environment for producing critical art.

WHEN LEARNING AGREEMENT is a parodic approach towards the systematic and
contractual component of art education, where the exchange value between
individual and institution is inconveniently and blatantly blurred into a
mutual sense of “agreement”.
