UniCredit is pleased to announce the UniCredit Venice Award, an
international contemporary art award for artists from Central and
Eastern Europe who are participating in the 54th International Art
Exposition of the Venice Biennale. These countries include Azerbaijan,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia,
Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania,
Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

The UniCredit Venice Award serves to further underline UniCredit’s
ongoing engagement in initiatives involving the future of contemporary
art and the development of the international art scene.

With this award, UniCredit aims to promote and nurture the creativity of
artists from the CEE as they develop both artistically and professionally.

The €150,000 award will be given to the best exhibition project.
Moreover, the winning work or works of art will become a part of the
UniCredit Art Collection and will then be placed on a long term loan
with a prominent contemporary art museum in the winning artist’s home
country.
