[artinfo] 17th International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil Information and Call for Entries

The 17th International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil will
be held in September and October 2011. As suggested by its new name, a
deep, intense model shift marks this edition when compared to previous
ones.

Aligned with the nature of contemporary artistic practices, the new
competitive exhibition expands its ability to soak in diverse
manifestations, such as video, installations, performances,
book-objects, and other artistic experiments.

Starting with this edition, the Southern Panorama Competitive
Exhibition will accept work of various natures: video, installation,
performance, printed objects, and other artistic experiments produced
from May 2009 onwards by visual artists born in Latin America, the
Caribbean, Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East,
and Oceania.

Enrolment is open up until 10 March 2011. The works selected will
compete for a money Grand Prize and eight artistic residency prizes,
granted in partnership with institutions in Latin America, Europe, and
Asia.

The Festival is promoted by SESC São Paulo and Associação Cultural Videobrasil.
