Zoë Gray a rotterdami Witte de With, Center for Contemporary Art kurátora.

Zoë Gray előadásában saját kurátori gyakorlatáról, valamint a Witte de With kortárs művészeti intézetről beszél, elsősorban a Marcel Duchamp díjas Saâdane Afif 2008-as Technical Specifications és Cosima von Bonin jelenleg is látható egyéni kiállítására fókuszálva.

Zoë Gray (1978) Rotterdamban élő művészettörténész 2006 óta a Witte de With, Center for Contemporary Art Rotterdam kurátora.

Diplomáit a Univeritsy of Cambridge művészettörténet szakán, majd a Goldsmith College University of London kurátori képzésén szerezte.

2006 óta számos egyéni kiállítás kurátora a Witte de With-ben, többek között Billy Apple, Brian Jungen, Tue Greenfort, Margaret Salmon, Geoffrey Farmer, Saâdane Afif, Annette Kelm, Gareth Moore, Liam Gillick, Keren Cytter, Manon de Boer és Cosima von Bonin kiállításai fűződnek a nevéhez. 
Zoë Gray volt a kurátora Cyprien Gaillard Stroom Den Haag-ban rendezett Béton Belvedere című tárlatának (2009), valamint Charles Mason és Laura White Urban Formalism című kiállításának a bordeaux-i CAPC Musée d’art contemporain-ban és Galerie Cortex Athletico-ban (2005). 2011 júniusában a Pougues-les-Eaux-i (Franciaország) Parc Saint Leger vendégkurátora lesz.

Kurátori munkája mellett Gray szervezte a Rotterdam Dialogues: Critics, Curators, Artists (2008-9) és a The Periphery Complex (2007) című nemzetközi szimpóziumokat és ő állította össze a Witte de With Morality című projektjének filmprogramját.

A Witte de With kiadványai mellett Zoë Gray a Metropolis M, a Fucking Good Art, a The Fillip Review, a Wasafiri Journal of Postcolonial Writing és a Contemporary Magazine folyóiratokban publikált. Esszéi jelentek meg az Anette Kelm (Walther Koenig Books, Köln (2009) és a Land Art: A Cultural Ecology Handbook (RSA, London (2006) című kötetekben.

The next guest and lecturer of the

Check in Budapest curatorial visitor program

organized by ACAX | Agency for Contemporary Art Exchange

is Zoë Gray, curator at Witte de With, Center for Contemporary Art (Rotterdam).

In her lecture Zoë Gray will talk about her curatorial practice at Witte de With where she has worked for the past five years, focusing on two solo exhibitions: the Marcel Duchamp Prix holder Saadane Afif’s Technical Specifications (2008) and Cosima von Bonin’s (2010 ongoing).

Zoë Gray (b.1978) is a curator based in Rotterdam, working at Witte de With, Center for Contemporary Art since 2006.

Zoë Gray studied History of Art (BA Hons) at the University of Cambridge and Curating (MA) at Goldsmiths College, University of London.

She has curated numerous exhibitions at Witte de With, including the solo exhibitions of Billy Apple, Brian Jungen, Tue Greenfort, Margaret Salmon, Geoffrey Farmer, Saâdane Afif, Annette Kelm, Gareth Moore, Liam Gillick, Keren Cytter, Maron de Boer and Cosima von Bonin.
 She was guest curator of Cyprien Gaillard’s exhibition Béton Belvedere at Stroom (den Haag, 2009) and of Charles Mason’s and Laura White’s exhibition Urban Formalism at CAPC Musée d’art contemporain and Galerie Cortex Athletico (Bordeaux, 2005).
 She is going to be a guest curator at Parc Saint Leger, Pougues-les-Eaux (forthcoming, June 2011).

Her projects at Witte de With include the international symposia Rotterdam Dialogues: Critics, Curators, Artists (2008-9) and The Periphery Complex (2007). In 2010 she curated the film programme And the moral of the story is…

Next to the publications of Witte de With she has contributed to several art magazines, including Metropolis M, Fucking Good Art, The Fillip Review, the Wasafiri Journal of Postcolonial Writing and the Contemporary Magazine. Her essays has been published in the books Anette Kelm (Walther Koenig Books, Cologne, 2009) and Land Art: A Cultural Ecology Handbook (RSA, London, 2006).
