On the occasion of the multidisciplinary project "Europe XXL", Tri
Postal will host five artistic proposal on its ground floor by Ursula
Biemann, Irwin, Deimantas Narkevicius, Dan Perjovschi and Société
Réaliste.
Société Réaliste will present within this frame four extracts of its
ongoing project MA: Culture States - Exposition des Arts et Techniques
appliquées à la vie moderne - for more information, visit:

levels, three other exhibitions: "Liquid Frontiers" (curated by Iara

Lecture.

Glyphs & Strata is a lecture delivered by Société Réaliste last
October at San Francisco Art Institute. In this presentation, the
cooperative comes back to some of its key interrogations about the
constitution of signs and spaces. It intends to put into relation
Société Réaliste's practices in the field of typography and in the
field of cartography. Figures like Gustave Flaubert, Rétif de la
Bretonne, Sigmund Freud, Charlemagne, Gerardus Mercator, Thomas More
or places like Île Saint-Louis or the Citadel of Gyumri, are evoked to
justify such relations.
In Ljubljana, Société Réaliste takes back the matrix of this lecture
in order to present its most recent work around the notion of
Pligatures.

Lecture.

With the lecture The Great Karaoke Swindle, Société Réaliste,
following the invitation of the Paris-based art group RYBN, will
present three experimental economy projects realized between 2006 and
2008, two of them being already bankrupted: Ponzi's, a company
designing marketing models for the contemporary art field, OTC (Over
the counter), a public bank account attempt and Cultural Propelled
Fund, a synthetic document addressed to the Commission of the European
Communities, briefly presenting Cabinet Société Réaliste Conseil's
proposal for a reform of the EU Cultural Policy Funding Scheme.
