CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
12-18 december 2009
Kitchen Budapest is seeking for participants: we are looking for  
programmers, artist and designers, architects, urban designers,  
ecologists, biologists, chemists, sociologists, anthropologists to  
participate a one week workshop about the air quality of Budapest.
The workshop leader will be Nerea Calvillo, Spanish artist who has  
previously developed In the air Madridat MediaLab Prado. This is a  
visualization project which aims to make visible the microscopic and  
invisible agents of Madrid's air (gases, particles, pollen, diseases,  
etc), to see how they perform, react and interact with the rest of the  
city. The workshop was lead by Nerea Calvillo and involved a group of  
architects, interaction designers, and anthropologists. The project  
ended up with a web based dynamic model and a physical prototype. More

With the Budapest edition participants are going to adapt the concept  
of the above mentioned project to the local conditions and create new  
content. The sessions will be based on common reflection, thinking,  
proposing, idea-sharing and building prototypes. The result can be  
data visualization, web application, locative based device, mobile app  
or any mixture of these.
The language of the workshop will be english.
