instituted

1995 
in 
memory 
of 
Riccardo 
Pezza, 
a 
young
photographer 
who 
completed 
his 
studies 
in 
photography 
at 
CFP 
Bauer 
in
Milan.

The 
event 
has 
gained 
more 
and 
more 
importance 
at 
a 
national 
level 
for
its 
ability 
to 
offer 
a 
critical 
view 
of 
the 
most 
interesting 
and 
vital
scene 
in 
young 
contemporary 
photography.
The 
objective 
is 
to 
broaden 
the 
panorama 
of 
contemporary 
photography.
The 
borders 
that 
define 
the 
notion 
of 
place, 
subject 
of 
a 
great 
number
of 
artistic 
investigations, 
have 
considerably 
changed 
not 
only 
in 
terms
of 
geography 
but 
also 
from 
a 
conceptual 
and 
ontological 
point 
of 
view.

This 
year’s 
edition 
seems 
to 
display 
an 
even 
higher 
level 
of 
quality
than 
before 
and 
highlights 
the 
ongoing 
transformation 
of 
photography 
-
the 
passage 
from 
analogical 
to 
digital 
photography. 
The 
notion 
of 
place
is 
dealt 
with 
by

authors 
in 
an 
open 
and 
flexible 
way, 
and
consequently 
the 
concept 
is

only 
geographical

sociological, 
anthropological,
