A 90-es évek eleje óta Villesen videómunkái azoknak az embereknek  
a mindennapi életéről, társadalmi és családi körülményeiről  
mesélnek a legegyszerűbb és legtermészetesebb módon, akiknek a  
személyisége, munkája, élete valamilyen okból felkeltette a  
művész érdeklődését. A 48 Western Magazines (48 nyugati  
folyóirat) című munkában Molnár Évát, a Fészek Klub  
művészeti igazgatóját látjuk, amint körbevezeti Gitte Villesent  
és Kodolányi Sebestyént a klubban, miközben gesztusain egyre  
érzékelhetőbbé válik erős kötődése a klubhoz, a rááldozott  
több mint 50 év minden öröme és gondja.

A tranzit.hu bemutatja Gitte Villesen – Kodolányi Sebestyén:  
Script for a Silent Movie (Forgatókönyv egy némafilmhez, 2006)  
fotóinstalláció képeiből válogatott saját kiadású  
képeslapsorozatát. Az eredeti mű az "Álmok égő tájain"  
kiállításra készült, a Műcsarnok és a DAA támogatásával.


A kiállítások a Műcsarnokban 2007. november 11-ig, a Kisteremben  
november 16-ig láthatóak.

A Silent Movie

Since the early 1990s, Gitte Villesen's video works have been telling  
stories, in a simple and unpretentious way, of every-day life and the  
personal and social circumstances of people she has met and whose  
personality, work, and life are of particular interest to her for a  
variety of reasons. 48 Western Magazines presents Éva Molnár, the  
art director of the Fészek Club, who gave Gitte Villesen and  
Sebestyén Kodolányi a thorough guided tour last summer. The way she  
moves around the Club shows her strong connectedness to it, and  
reflects over 50 years of experience in working and living there –  
almost as if she, herself, had become the house.

tranzit.hu presents the postcard-series edition Script for a Silent  
Movie (2006) by Gitte Villesen and Sebestyén Kodolányi. The series  
is a selection from the images of the photoinstallation comissioned  
by Műcsarnok / Kunsthalle, Budapest and supported by DAA, Copenhagen  
for the "Dreamlands Burn" exhibition in 2006.


The exhibition in the Kunsthalle is open till 11 November 11 and in  
the Kisterem till 16 November , 2007.
