a Mûcsarnok elõadótermébe

A Budapest Galéria csereprogramja révén jelenleg Budapesten tartózkodó 
mûvész két munkával szerepelt a Mûcsarnok !REVOLUTION? kiállításán. Ez 
alkalommal Grisey Florence Lazarral közösen, 2005-2006-ban Vukovárban és 
Belgrádban forgatott két munkáját mutatja be.

A film egy, a belgrádi Vörös Csillag stadionban sétáló férfi monológja. 
Felidézi a délszláv háború horvát helyszíneit, szurkolói múltját és 
besorozásának történetét. A futballpálya a (vissza)emlékezés eszközévé 
válik.

A film az elsõ Belgrádban összehívott szerb háborús bûnöket vizsgáló per 
hátterével foglalkozik. A 2003 májusában alakult szerb különleges 
bíróság háborús bûnök vizsgálatával megbízott szerb ügyésze az 1991 
novemberében történt vukovári vérengzésekért emelt vádat. Az elfoglalt 
város melletti Ovcara mezõgazdasági telepen a gyõztesek kivégeztek több 
mint 200, egyesek szerint 260 horvát nemzetiségû polgári személyt. 
Látjuk az áldozatok hozzátartozóit, amint egy belgrádi hotelben 
felidézik és megvitatják a tárgyalás részleteit, a tárgyalótermet, ahol 
a bíróság és a családtagok a perrõl, a bizonyítékokról és a perrel 
kapcsolatos kérdésekrõl beszélnek. Közben a vukovári éjszakában egy autó 
halad keresztül a városon, és egy hang a láthatatlan nyomokról beszél.

Raphaël Grisey 1978-ban született Párizsban. Párizsban és Berlinben él.
Florence Lazar 1966-ban született Macedóniában. Párizsban él.

Raphaël Grisey

to the Auditorium of Mûcsarnok /Kunsthalle Budapest

Raphaël Grisey has been a visiting artist supported by the Budapest 
Gallery exchange program and participated in the show !REVOLUTION? in 
the Kunsthalle, Budapest.

Grisey will introduce and screen two films made together with Florence 
Lazar.  Red Star and Prvi deo were both shot in Belgrade and Vukovar in 
2005 and 2006 – about the post-war situation.

In the Red Star Stadium of Belgrade a man is walking and monologizing. 
He evokes the sites of the war in Croatia, his past as a football fan 
and his enlistment in the army. The playground becomes the means of 
commemoration and recollection.

The film is constructed around the current topic of a trial in Belgrade, 
the first of its kind in Serbia, which investigates claims of war crime 
against Serbs in the Ovcara massacre near Vukovar in 1991 (the first 
major massacre of the Yugoslavian wars in the 1990s). In a hotel in 
Belgrade, the families of the victims recount and discuss their 
observations of the trial. At the tribunal, the families and lawyers 
talk about the exhibits and issues that surface during the trial. In 
Vukovar, in a car travelling through the town at night, a voice speaks 
about invisible traces.

 
Raphaël Grisey was born in Paris in 1978. He lives and works in Paris 
and Berlin.
Florence Lazar was born in Macedonia in 1966. She lives and works in Paris.
