ART EXHIBITIONS DIRECTOR, Academic Staff Officer II.  The Department of Art 
and Art History in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at 
Wayne State University is seeking applicants for a full-time position as Art 
Exhibitions Director.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the 
oversight and management of two galleries: the Community Arts Gallery 
featuring works by faculty, students, and alumni, among others, and the 
Elaine L. Jacob Gallery, which focuses on exhibitions with national and 
international significance.  Responsibilities include developing and 
scheduling shows in cooperation with a faculty committee, overseeing a total 
of twelve to fifteen exhibitions per year along with their related 
publications (show cards, posters, etc.), training and supervising students 
assistants, coordinating shipments, managing the gallery budget, assistance 
with departmental development projects, the coordination of public 
programming, and other duties as assigned.
