Il y a 5 ans, en réaction aux attentats contre les tours jumelles du World Trade Center à New York, nous avons mené un projet pour tenter d'ouvrir une création plus en phase avec son époque. L'animation finale de cette action comme une Aporie 11 est maintenant visible en tant qu'archive sur notre site internet personnel. L'on peut distinguer une ligne bleue qui n'est pas sans faire écho invisible, dans cet hommage, à la ligne bleue de la ville de New York. La ligne qui court les rues pour indiquer le tracé d'un marathon aux dimensions planétaires. Et c'est lors de celui-ci en 2003  qu'un inconnu nous prend en photo au cœur de la course, à la recherche d'un « Global Poetic System » (GPS).

Ce « Global Poetic System » est un élan manifeste hors de toute performance (chorégraphique) dans un théâtre (urbain) ! C'est une échappée au mimétisme contemporain entre spectacle et art. Une possible énergie pour impulser un mouvement scénique de l'art comme un acte sans public ni artiste. Car nous attendons un tel dépassement des limites connues, en essayant de les transfigurer, vers des langages encore à décoder. Par des captations de données qui sont toujours en attente d'être recombinées au travers de formes visuelles et sonores d'une machine à l'autre, human Machine TO virtual Machine (M2M).

Mais ce 5 novembre 2006, date aussi du marathon de New-York, nous mettons en vente cette photo d'amateur en écho à notre parcours qui ne saurait être simplement un souffle performant, ne sachant que reproduire seulement des dispositifs multimédias. Les dimensions de ce tirage unique réalisé à Paris par la société Publimod n'est d'aucune esthétique. Contre-collée sur une plaque d'aluminium, cette trace photographique est complétée de deux bandeaux noirs jumeaux. L'ensemble est cadré sur les distances universelles d'une course de marathon : 42 kilomètres 195 et/ou 26 miles 2. C'est une translation d'une dimension l'autre, de notre espace-temps, en attente d'un SPace tIME (SPIME).

Five years ago, in response to the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers of the Word Trade Center in New York, I conducted a project that attempted to open up an artwork that was more in phase with its epoch. The final animated version of this action as an Aporia 11 can now be viewed in archive form on my personal website. On it, a blue line can be made out that provides some kind of invisible echo, as an act of homage, of the blue line of the city of New York – the line which runs through the streets to mark the course of a marathon on a planetary scale. It was during the 2003 marathon that a stranger photographed me at the heart of the race, in search of a ‘Global Poetic System' (GPS).

This ‘Global Poetic System' is a running manifesto outside of any (choreographic) performance in an (urban) theatre! It's a breakaway from the contemporary mimicry that takes place between spectacle and art. It's a feasible energy form that can impel a scenic movement of art as an act without audience or artist. Indeed, we are waiting for just such a breaking through of the known limits, while seeking to transfigure them, towards languages that are still to be decoded – by capturing data that are still waiting to be re-combined through visual and sonic forms from one machine to another, human Machine TO virtual Machine (M2M).

On this 5 November 2006, however, which is also the date of the New York Marathon, I have put this amateur photo up for sale as an echo of my run, which is more than simply a performing breath, capable only of reproducing multimedia devices. The dimensions of this unique edition printed in Paris by the Publimod Company do not subscribe to any aesthetic concept. Mounted on an aluminium plate, this photographic trace is complemented with twin black bands. The whole is aligned on the universal marathon distance: 42.195 kilometres and/or 26.2 miles. It's a translation from one dimension to another, from our space-time, while we wait for a SPace tIME (SPIME).
