[artinfo] gender and performance magazine - call for submissions

pretty blue sky magazine is seeking submissions for its second issue on
gender identity and performance, to be distributed June 26-27 in
conjunction with Pride activities.

We are accepting the following submissions:

1. short articles, interviews, and essays - up to 2,000 words, Word format
2. photographs, still photo documentation of video or performance -
720x420, 72 dpi, jpeg

Submissions should explore gender roles and gender identity, with a
specific emphasis on performativity.  Topics may range from the role of
the domestic wife to transgender politics. How does sexuality and sexual
identity affect our gender roles? We are open to new and exciting ideas on
these topics.

Submissions must be emailed to beth at prettybluesky.com no later than 12pm
on Wednesday, June 14.  Texts must include the author's name, address,
phone number, and email address.  Images must include a short description
or caption; author's name, address, phone number, and email address; and a
release form signed by anyone featured in the image.

The magazine will be printed and distributed during Chicago Pride
festivities; a PDF version will also be available for download at www.prettybluesky.com.
