CALL FOR ENTRIES
International Competition for films about Berlin-Brandenburg
***We kindly ask all recipients to forward this message to interested 
individuals, groups and institutions. The following informations are 
published in English and German.***
achtung berlin - new berlin film award will take place for the second time 
at the Hackesche Hoefe Film Theatre in Berlin / Germany from 11 - 17 May, 2006.
Within the framework of this new festival, achtung berlin is inviting 
submissions for the 2nd International Competition for films about Berlin 
and/or Brandenburg which is endowed with cash prizes as well as various 
post production prizes.
Eligible are feature films and documentaries from Berlin-Brandenburg, 
Germany and all over the world featuring a clear thematic relation to the 
city of Berlin or the region of Brandenburg. All films submitted should be 
produced after January 1, 2002.
The following screening formats are permitted: 35mm, Digi-Beta, Beta SP/PAL 
and (mini) DV. Films on DVD, CD-Rom, Beta SP/NTSC or U-Matic video formats 
cannot be screened.
The submission deadline is March 15, 2006.
Berlin is today, more than ever, a starting-point for filmmakers from 
Germany, Western and Eastern Europe, as well as for overseas directors. 
achtung berlin presents filmmakers from around the world who involve 
themselves thematically with the capital region, portraying their own 
depictions and perspectives of the city of Berlin or the Brandenburg 
region, and the resulting multifarious aesthetic images.

Internationaler Wettbewerb für Filme über Berlin-Brandenburg

***Wir bitten alle Empfaenger, diesen Aufruf an interessierte Personen, 
Gruppen und Institutionen weiterzuleiten. Die folgende Information wird in 
englischer und deutscher Sprache veroeffentlicht.***
Das neue Berliner Filmfestival achtung berlin - new berlin film award 
findet zum zweiten Mal vom 11. bis 17. Mai 2006 im Hackesche Hoefe 
Filmtheater in Berlin statt.
In diesem Rahmen wird die Teilnahme am 2. Internationalen Wettbewerb für 
Filme über Berlin-Brandenburg ausgeschrieben. Er ist mit Geld- und 
Sachpreisen dotiert.
Teilnehmen koennen Spiel- und Dokumentarfilme aus Berlin-Brandenburg, 
Deutschland und aller Welt mit einem thematischen Bezug zu der Stadt Berlin 
oder der Region Brandenburg - unabhängig von Laufzeit und 
Produktionsformat. Die betreffenden Filme muessen nach dem 1. Januar 2002 
fertig gestellt worden sein.

Als Vorführformate sind 35mm, Digi-Beta, Beta SP/PAL und (Mini)DV 
zugelassen. DVD, CD-Rom und die Videoformate Beta SP/NTSC und U-Matic 
können nicht gezeigt werden.
Anmeldeschluss ist der 15. März 2006.
Berlin ist heute mehr denn je ein Anlaufpunkt für Filmschaffende aus 
Deutschland, West- und Osteuropa sowie aus Uebersee. achtung berlin zeigt, 
wie sich Filmemacher aus der ganzen Welt thematisch mit der 
Hauptstadtregion Berlin-Brandenburg auseinandersetzen und ihre eigenen 
Perspektiven auf die Stadt Berlin oder die Region Brandenburg und ihr 
Erscheinungsbild eröffnen.
