CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:

Studio Voltaire's annual open submission exhibition aims to showcase the
strength and diversity of its studio or external membership.  SV05 is open
to all artists, working in any medium.  Every year, the changing panel, made
up of artists, curators, collectors or critics select artist's work.
Enrico David, Artist
Enrico David is known for his large-scale embroidered canvases depicting
extraordinary figures constructed in thread out of complex linear patterns.
Recently his work has diversified into a range of media including fabric
sculpture, furniture, animation and works on paper.  David's practice
describes a complex personal culture constructed from contemporary and
historical sources.  The artist has had solo exhibitions at Project, Dublin
(2004), Transmission, Glasgow (2004) with a forthcoming project at Tate
Britain.  David has also been included in various group shows, notably at
The Saatchi Gallery, London (2001/2005); Kunsthalle Basel, Basel (2005) and
Venice Biennale (2003).
Catherine Wood, Curator
Catherine Wood is currently a curator of contemporary art and performance at
both Tate Modern and Tate Britain.  She has a specific interest in
contemporary dance and performance.  She has independently curated
exhibitions at Alison Jacques, London (2004); Lawrence O'Hana Gallery,
London (2004) with a forthcoming project at the ICA, London (2005).  Wood
regularly contributes to various publications including Afterall, Art
Monthly, Parkett, Frieze and Untitled.
