To coincide with Platform North East's annual live art event taking place at
Workplace Gallery, Gateshead on the 29th of October this year, A-Side, the
artists' film and video strand of Side Cinema will show a series of artists'
film and video dealing with performance to camera.

Side Cinema shows a programme of radical, independent and historically
important film and other media events, through Cineside, Tyneside Radical
Film Festival, A-Side and Other Side. Please see www.sidecinema.com for

Platform North East is an informal association of artists, individuals and
organisations supportive of the development, presentation and critical
evaluation of Live Art practice in the North East of England.  Please see

Works should be no more than 20mins in duration.  Submissions should include
a CV, artist's statement and work should preferably be on DVD, although we
can support Beta-SP or VHS, 8 and 16mm film.  Please include an SAE for the
return of materials.

Deadline for submissions for selection 15th August.
