New Artservis!
Exclusive Spring Redesign
http://www.artservis.org/
http://www.artservis.org/press/

Today, the redesigned web portal for artists, theorists and cultural
managers was launched at http://www.artservis.org/. Artservis publishes
information on funding sources, opportunities for creative and professional
collaboration, and educational programmes.

Over the two years of its existence the success of Artservis has exceeded
all the expectations of its producer. It has become a reliable and
referential medium, visited daily by some 470 users (those from Slovenia and
other ex-YU countries, as well as from Central and East European countries
prevail).
The weekly Newsletter complements the web site. Up to now 121 issues have
been released. Currently over 1750 subscribers from all over the world read
the Newsletter.
Artservis is openly accessible and free of charge. It is based on the
solidarity exchange of information and on the copyleft principle.

The new Artservis is easier to use, more flexible and faster. From now on
the database search will be more efficient. Some new features were added as
well:
- QUICK LINKS on the home page (lists of frequently used links to
foundations and artists-in-residence databases, EU programmes etc.).
http://www.artservis.org/english/default.asp
- CONTEXT section brings critical texts on the art system written by artists
and theorists.
http://www.artservis.org/english/kontekst.asp
- ARTSERVIS PROXIES - the informal network of organisations offering open
access to Internet and consultancy has expanded. Visit our proxies in
Budapest, Graz, Jesenice, Koper, Ljubljana, Maribor, Nova Gorica, and
Sarajevo.

The Artservis' redesign is based on the analysis of the users' and editors'
team's experience and derives from the critical contemplation on the
prevailing models and principles of the expansion of information industry
into the cultural field.

Artservis has been conceived and produced by Centre for Contemporary Arts
SCCA-Ljubljana. Its activity is dedicated to developing and establishing the
innovative and pioneering projects that stimulate contextual artistic and
interpretative practices and enhance the international networking. More on
