BREAK 2.2 FESTIVAL: Invisible Threat

Break 2.2 is an international art festival focused on urban, technologically
supported artistic practices that can be considered part of the current
avant-garde. It includes exhibitions, performances, concerts, film screenings,
workshops etc. dealing with the theme of Invisible Threat (pollution, poison,
viruses, genetics, bionics, radiation, medication side-effects, surveillance,
manipulation, cyber violence/crime, infra/ultra sound, infra/ultra light,
ideology, mass media, corporations 
).

Complete program with project descriptions has just been posted on the festival
web page (http://www.break­festival.org). It includes about 40 different works
by artists and art groups from all over the world: Haruki Nishijima (Japan),

An important part of the festival is also the symposium (June 18-21, 2003) with
lectures on the festival theme by artists and scientists from various fields:

(Slovenia), Sergey Kara-Murza (Russia), Aldo Milohnic (Slovenia), Beatriz da
Costa & Brooke Singer (USA), Darij Zadnikar (Slovenia), James L. Acord (USA),
Zoran Kanduc (Slovenia) and Mike Hentz (Switzerland/USA).

Festival events will take place at several venues in Ljubljana and are all free
of charge.
