Since 1988, iMAGES has presented Toronto's most challenging and
comprehensive media arts festival. Over our long history the festival has
shown thousands of independent films and videos in all genres, and in 1996
expanded to include related installations, performances and new media. In
10 jam-packed days each April, Images presents approximately 200 films and
videos, 25 off-site installations, symposia, panel discussions, guest
artist talks and related events all reflecting on the state of contemporary
image-making worldwide. iMAGES' latest initiatives include year-round
screenings, book publishing, touring, and partnering with production
centres and curators to commission new Canadian works that premiere at the
festival.
