A Human Rights Week sponsored by the Human Rights Students' Initiative
(HRSI). The week includes activities around the World AIDS Day, December
3, to raise the awareness of individual responsibility regarding
educating of people about health risks and the transmission of AIDS.
Discussions about aids will follow the evening screening of the film
"Savage Nights." The screening will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the CEU
Auditorium.

Shulamit Volkov (Tel Aviv University
"The Jewish Project of Modernity: Diverse or Unitary"

Shulamit Volkov is Professor of Modern European History and holder of
the Konrad Adenauer Chair for Comparative European History at Tel Aviv
University, Israel. She has published widely on aspects of German social
history, on modern antisemitism and on German Jewish history.

A charitable auction of works of art organized by The Stalk of Straw, a
non-profit trust for the homeless. Part of the income from the sold
items will be spent on a Christmas party for the homeless, the other
part will be spent on several programs helping the homeless in their
daily life.
