> GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

> All disciplines please enclose:

> 1. A one page description outlining your project, your intent and your
> expectations for your residency

> 2. Two professional letters of referral from individuals in your field who
> know your work and are familiar with the project you are proposing for
your
> residency

> 3. A resume or CV outlining your artistic accomplishments, awards,
> performances, exhibitions, recordings etc.

> 4. A list of equipment needs clearly indicating what you are providing and
> what you would like the program to provide.

> In addition,

> Visual Artists: include 10 slides representative of your recent work, plus
> articles/reviews and/or catalogues.

> Writers: include selection of published works or works in progress,

> 12 pages
>
> Composers: include two recordings of your work (audio cassette or CD)

> Other Artists: include appropriate examples of your work.

>
> APPLICATION PROCESS

> 1. Applications will be reviewed in July 2001.

> 2. Successful candidates will be advised by telephone and will be required
> to reply in writing advising that you accept the residency and are
available
> from October 1 to 31, 2001 inclusive.

> 3. Toronto Artscape will provide a formal letter of acceptance which can

> used to acquire a travel grant or as documentation for securing other
> funding sources.

> 4. Participating artists are expected to make travel arrangements which
