A public debate in the "Controversies" series presented by Central
European University:

New School University, New York
and
Istvan Meszaros
Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
University of Sussex, England
Moderator:
G. M. Tamas
Visiting Professor, CEU
"Both Professor Heller and Professor Meszaros were students and friends
of perhaps the greatest Marxist thinker of the twentieth century, Georg
Lukacs. Professor Meszaros was forced to emigrate to the West in 1956,
Professor Heller in 1977. Both were opposed to 'really existing socialism';
nonetheless their paths diverged: Ms. Heller abandoned one of the most
influential Marxists now living. The two grand emigres are coming back to
tell you whats news about the revolution."
All are welcome.
