CALL FOR VIDEOS!
Art in General is seeking submissions of short videos for the 4th Annual
Video Marathon on January 12, 2002.
Art in General=92s Annual Video Marathon is a venue for innovative video=
 work
produced by emerging and established makers.  Last year=92s 12 hour program
was attended by over 400 people.  Founded by artists in 1981 in Lower
Manhattan, Art in General is a nonprofit organization providing a laboratory
environment for the newest of today=92s art=97work that is often
underrepresented in art museums or commercial galleries. With exhibitions
drawn from artists=92 submissions, artists=92 projects created on site, and=
 a
full calendar of public programs, the organization has evolved into a magnet
and a resource for those interested in new ways of thinking about
contemporary art.  Art in General is committed to presenting opportunities
for emerging artists and for artists developing their work in new
directions.
All submissions must be VHS, NTSC format tapes.
Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of  your
materials.  Please do not use metered postage.  Send a short description of
the work as well as a resume and label the tapes with titles of the works,
dates, artist=92s name and telephone number, as well as email address.
Do not send master tapes.
Deadline for submission: Friday, September 28, 2001.
